You people do realize that some older people have difficulty standing very long?

This! It's not just the standing upright but also the act of repeatedly standing and sitting that wear some people out. And not just old people. There are handicaps that are not readily visible. After a long walk to the stadium, and facing a long walk from the stadium, some people have to save their strength.

You are allowed to stand. They are allowed to object. You are allowed to ignore.

The people behind you may not be able to comfortably stand the whole game.
There is a section for those people.

There are only 20 minutes of actual action in a football game. If you can't stand for 20 minutes in a 4-hour period, then other people standing isn't the problem.
