question to TS patrons: RE standing during games

Ole Miss has a 4th and 2 in the first quarter, so I stand up to clap/make noise. As I do this, I hear people behind me yelling for me to sit down.
I can understand not wanting someone standing up in front of you the entire game, but I feel it's pretty reasonable to be standing on a 4th down to support the team.
What says the rant? Was I wrong for this?

There are situations during a game that require you be on your feet. That was clearly one of them.

I think lsu's "rules" say that you. should respect those behind you, but that it's reasonable to expect standing during exciting times

I am generally respectful if the people behind me can't see but in an atmosphere like that and on fourth down, I don't give a frick what they want.

Personally, I'd rather either sit the whole game or stand the whole game. In critical parts of the game though, standing is 100% reasonable.

At that point in the game, everyone in the stadium should have been standing! I know my section was all on their feet.

i bought these tickets from another season ticket holder that couldn't make the game. the funny part was that the guy bitching was obviously a season ticket holder as well.
i turned around and politely said, "you do realize it's 4th down, right?'
and a bunch of other season ticker holder around him started clapping. he must be the douchebag of the section. he also looked like someone that couldn't complete a coherent sentence, so i didn't get into it with him.

I go by this general rule, if the people in front of me are standing, I'll stand. If the people in front of me are sitting, I'll sit.
Unless it's 4th and 2, in that case, I'm standing no matter what.
