Best post of 2013. Went to Rosenblatt in 2000. It was the college baseball equivalent to Fenway.

I would have liked to see a complete renovation of the Old Box.

I watched games at the old Box. My dad watched games at the old box. My future children and grand children never will.

For me both stadiums are great the old ones are just those stadiums that they can't replace. The new box did much better replacing the old then TD

I think the new box finally felt a little more like home this year during the regionals and super regionals. That stadium was rocking this year.

Back in 2000, one certain LSU yell leader was sporting a usl sticker. That doesn't jive well.

Why? If LSU isn't there to pull for why would it be wrong to pull for our neighbors an hour down the road. I bleed purple and gold and was sure pulling for them.

And I will pull for Mississippi State to win it. It may not be but a consolation right now, but we (or perhaps I) could at least say, if MSU wins it all, LSU beat them 2x this year. (Wooppee! Still doesn't take the sting out of going 2 and out).

Just like Fenway could never possibly be replaced, I feel the same way about Rosenblatt. How do you think the people in Boston would feel about a new stadium? I know the people in Omaha and the Tiger nation miss Rosenblatt and the memories it holds for everyone- no to mention being homerun friendly.

The combo of bbcore bats and larger park does not fit LSU's saber metric style of play. Ibarra hit two shots in the first game that would have been out of blatt and the box. They have taken to much offense out of college baseball and made it to pitcher dominated. LSU is not built to play small ball, that park requires small ball and great pitching.

Why not hire this guy as a hitting coach? I know not all former great college baseball players make great coaches, but he must know more than Javi.

Surely Paul M is feeling the heat to sever ties with Javi....one would think

That's how I feel about New Box vs. Old Box.

Beautiful stadium, don't get me wrong. Just doesn't have that feel to it.

You sir, apparently didn't sit behind one of the damned polls at the old Box. Or for years have half of the outfield obstructed by the tripod light polls that came up through dugouts.

Gone to old box a few times and the new stadium a few more times and I am probably one of the few but do like the new stadium more

Umpired for Todd Walkers little league team two weeks ago....Stand up guy. Enjoyed reliving some old Tiger memories in conversation between innings.
