They didn't miss it. The SEC and CBS wasn't going to allow LSU to beat bama. Replays were cropped on the 3-for-1 personal foul penalties. Two cameras on replay of the INT from the top of the stadium? LSU should file a lawsuit against the SEC for collusion, fraud, money laundering and get President Trump involved - SCREW the SEC.

Watch the video. It's not ground for 3 reasons

1. Receiver was in the vicinity. It passed over his head
2. He wasn't about to be sacked
3. Look where the RT feet are on the snap, he was lateral to that when he threw (i.e. Out of the tackle box).

Anyone know the dimensions of the S on the field?

He was not hit as he threw, the Bama player had him
wrapped up and he wasn't able to get enough on the pass
to make it more to the line of scrimmage

Fairly certain those are nfl rules and they do not read the same in ncaa.

Also, there was not a WR. He sailed the damn ball all the way to the Bama sideline. Gimme a break.

And he almost was sacked, watch again. Blitzer comes in nearly untouched.

If anything, he does get out of the tackle box.

Well your first two reasons are pure bullshite but the third is very close. Honestly it could go either way.

I mean, he threw the goddamn ball 10 yards out of bounds from the opposite hash. There isn't a receiver even remotely close to where he's throwing it.

And if you can't see that he is close to being sacked when he lets it fly, you've got too much Bama in you

I'd need to look again but the imminent pressure rule, I don't think, applies in college

Could be wrong I'll admit

Please inform me which receiver he is throwing it to. Just because it goes over a WRs head doesn't mean it was thrown towards him. That's ridiculous and completely undermines the rule.

In real time, it looked like grounding.
In the replay it looks really close. close enough, I thought, that the refs would have conferenced on the field and then offered an explanation as to why no grounding.

I just wanna know which WR this dude thinks he's throwing it towards

The streak route might have turned into a corner route but he's running a yard or 2 outside the hash and Hurts sails it frickin 30 yards right of the guy out of bounds

Not to mention 73 is your tackle and the tackle box line starts on his outside leg

You are ridiculous

What vicinity? The parking lot?

"he threw the goddamn ball 10 yards out of bounds". No he didn't.

"from the opposite hash" No he didn't.

I was exaggerating. Kinda like "he threw it to the parking lot".

The point is that there was not a receiver even remotely close. Except maybe a backup on the sidelines.

Playing Alabama is the football version of the purge. Alabama can commit all the penalties that they want and suffer no consequences

Receiver was in the same area code if that's what you mean by vicinity.

He was absolutely about to be sacked.

The real mindfrick was the IG penalty called on etling when he was clearly hit as he threw the ball

Correct, if a QB's ability to throw is impeded by a defender intentional grounding shall not be called.

This crew just re-wrote the rule book and set a precedent that says if a QB is hit and the ball does not cross the line grounding must be called. It was one of the more ridiculous calls of the night along with the obvious helmet to helmet targeting of Etling.
