Question for the people wanting to see J. Lee play so bad

If he came in and threw a pick 6 in his first or second series what would be going through your head at that moment?

that sucks
but while we're making wild assumptions, what would go through your head if he went 25-30 315 yards 3 TD 0 INT and we beat the shite out of auburn?

that our coaches obviously cannot develop QB's.

not sure how that's a wild assumption.

sure it is

not smart

To a rantard it's brilliant.

I would think.......well he really is pretty damn boneheaded. I was wrong. But any chance at getting some offense had to be taken.
So put RS back there and let er rip.
Hell run KW out of the wildcat, I dont give a damn but atleast show that we are trying.

hell, i wish ciron black's play from last year carried over to this year

should i assume that since most every other player on offense has regressed, that all of the sudden J. Lee will show a huge improvement? is this the non-rantard logic?

they would probably move on to the next person to blame (i.e. coaches), then when we got a new qb coach, blame the o.c., then when we got a new o.c. blame miles, then when we got a new head coach, blame alleva, and so on.

I wouldn't like it. I don't want to see Jefferson benched as a starter. I'd just like to see Lee play some. IMO, Jefferson hasn't done diddle to merit playing the entire game. People can blame everything on the OL all they want to, but the Pro Bowl line can only hold guys out so long if the QB sits back waiting for his receivers to be open by 10 yards before he'll throw, its pretty frustrating.

IF this happened, I'd have to look at why it happened.
If it was like several of the ones last year where he threw the ball, the receiver tipped it up and it was picked. Then the defender ran through the offense. Then I'd be thinking, "Not this again."
If he just made a terrible read and threw a bad pass, I'd probably think, "Well, at least he got a chance."

J Lee would not have to make a "huge improvement", as you say.
He threw the ball really well last year, at times. Strong arm and pretty accurate. He just stared down his receivers too often.
And let's face it, having that many INTs returned for a TD was a fluke. It's one thing to throw INTs. But what are the chances every pick you throw is returned for a score.

Yep, cause that is all we got. Especially if we are the 112 ranked offense in football.
There is no free agency in CFB, so we either got to get what we can out of what we got, or just wait it out.

Question for the people who don't want J.Lee to get any snaps ... how will you feel if JJ leads LSU to another 7-5 (or 8-4) season and doesn't show any improvement with his pocket presence, continues to take sacks, and never throws any passes over 15 yards? Do we go into next year with 2 QBs that haven't shown improvement on the field (remember that JL hasn't been on the field to show improvement) and Sheperd/Garrett are now next in line to be thrown to the wolves?
I'm all for continuing to start Jefferson and let him grow in the system, but it's also prudent to get your 2nd QB some reps during real game conditions to (a) let Jefferson see what's going on from the sideline and (b) to make sure you have a viable option should Jefferson get injured.

I'll be thinking at least he threw the ball instead of dancing in the pocket and taking a sack.
what happened last year is not normal, I don't think you can realistically think he would come in and throw that many pick 6's again.

woah, other than maybe ciron black, who else are you talking about?

Some expletives would fly that's for sure...but I'd say at least the coaches are trying something different. At 100+ in the country in offense, we had to try something.
