I just looked that up as well. Damn we have a difficult schedule next year

Yes. We open in Atlanta with a good North Carolina team and we have Auburn, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, a more improved Arkansas and Ole Miss plus watch for Mississippi State. They have a damn good coach that some are overlooking.
Oh, and don't forget West Virginia.

Bama was 1 year removed from a top 10 finish the year Saban got there, many people seem to forget that

Uh, yeah, a six win season does that.

Florida made it a close game vs. Miles with a boat load of fr/soph on defense.

Clearly beating Bama is the key to success for LSU next year. That will not be easy given what we just saw.

T. Richardson looked pretty skeery.

yea, and saban has never had a close game against inferior talent (UAB, Troy, OSU, Ole Miss, Iowa). UF had a heisman trophy winner on that team...UF still had superior talent to almost every team in the SEC...Talent is the only thing that matters right?

No coach consistently wins without it.

If LSU can ever learn an offense, this team could be really good next year. QB development and building on the improvements on the O line are the keys to success.

UF in 2007 basically won 0 close games, while losing by 4 to LSU and 3 to Auburn. They got beat by UGA without Tebow. They were a pretty good team that couldn't win the close games

As long as LSU has to play Florida, Alabama and Auburn every year, one or two losses will always be a possibility.

And it could keep LSU out of the national championship game.

We have won TWO Natl. Championships in the last 6 years playing the same teams you fear. We can also keep Fla, Ala and Aub from winning one.

I think that LSU will and should be a top 5 team next year. All I see is talent in every position. I was down on JJ but he will be a stud QB next year. I don't know your RB situation but the WR corp seems to be the most talented in the country. The defense (with the exception of last year) will always be nationally top ten. I think the LSU vs. Bama game will not only decide the west but the SEC title.

I congratulate alabama on a great game wish them well. However, I think the loyal sec fans and most importantly the sec football players deserve better than the sec referees and while there will be penalties missed, but when they are looking at the play and miss it, and especially when replay shows it clearly and it is still missed! This has been going on in the sec far too long and is unacceptable. The college presidents should demand mor from Slive and his director of officials.I think we need a housecleaning and a relocation of the sec office to a neutral site.

I'm just glad we get to see Patrick Peterson and Julio Jones go at at least one more game! With the way both teams are recruiting we will be treated to many years of big games like this one was. As in all big games matching two fairly evenly matched teams, the winner will be determine by who is more fortunate that day. We've had our share of fortune shining on us but Saturday was Bama's day to be fortunate. (along with being good of course) I would have loved to have seen the end of the game play out with us at full strength at QB and RB but thats the fortune of the game!

We'll be just fine next year.

You know it. I know it. Others know it.

Saban ain't Genghis. This is the SEC. The reign will be temporary. It's the nature of the beast.

LSU will not be fading into the good night.

But honestly, I wish Bama would. Unfortunately, they likely won't either.

Sadly, all we're left with is a great game each year.

I can live with that.

And where would that be? Give it up, we lost. The only thing that happened Saturday was the opportunity to perhaps win the game. We need to close out the season with three wins and that is all that matters.
