Right Board. This wouldn't be news if it wasn't about LSU fans, Louisiana players and Louisiana cops. Plus an ex LSU coach, who is generally recognized as the shortest on record.

The other two were two Cuban agents secretly hired by Les Miles. The agent coerced the nefarious Gumps to drive to a park after midnight with a stolen gun and drugs that were planted. It came out later that there were 4 people in the car. Only the 2 football players were arrested apparently. Also seems the players were the ones in possession of the Marijuana and stolen gun.

The stolen gun was under a front seat and there were four in the car. So who owns it? That's the whole deal with the da not charging anyone. The other thing was probable cause to search wasn't clearly evident since both the pot and stolen gun were found during the search.
I can see both sides to this argument especially if my kid was in the car.

If I was the cop who arrested the pair I would get a lawyer and sue Saban for public slander and defamation of character. I mean he said they were arrested only because they were Alabama football players and the cop was a disgruntled LSU fan.

There were 4 people in the car and word is the other 2 were current informants and that's why nothing was made of who they were or why they were not arrested. Probably the reason the charges were dropped because of it being higher profile than usual and just not worth it. Saban needs to STFU.

I would speculate that the pot was in the front seat with Cam and Hootie sitting in the front seats and the other 2 in the back. Also, the gun was Cam's. It was under his seat and probably had his prints on it. He admitted it was his, but said he bought it without knowing it was stolen. The whole dropping of charges was bullshite. Hootie should just be thankful that Cam was with him. Hootie's play hasn't merited special funds treatment.

There were four but the two in back seat were only charge with possession and use. But to Saban: Cam & Hootie were in passion of guns; the policeman didn't plant the guns; they were in passion of weed and that makes the act more serious. One of the guns was stolen and the DA's statement that they couldn't prove that Cam or Hootie stole the gum. Doesn't matter they were in possession of the gun. Saban was as wrong as two left feet in implying that they were arrested because the officer was an LSU fan. Does he believe that had he been a Florida fan they wouldn't have been charged? Oh! He is a Florida fan. When you believe you are God you make stupid statements like that. Saban owes the LSU fan base an apology and he owes the officer one also. Both player should be suspended for all SEC games not just the South Alabama game.

I am licensed in Louisiana and Bama and would be glad to sue Satan on behalf of anyone he has slandered. lol
