We tailgate at the ag center. Is that considered "highland"?

we are wondering the same thing.
we tailgate across from there and THAT is $40 apparently.
How will they police this?
are they gonna let you on campus to park free at the Ag Center?
In a way, arent these passes in actuality a pass to enter campus?

All those who are not concern about the new parking fee because their normal parking spot in not affected better be there early since there will be alot more people trying to park in those lots.

There will be LOTS of considering going on & none of it will be in our, the fans, favor. You can bet if there is a question about a location, it will be a paid location. Before long, there will be a toll booth on the Mississippi River bridge as you exit. Get ready boys, these "cuts" are the sharp blade that will gut the fans.

The AG Center lot will still be free according to the map. So with everything else east of Highland Road. I'm sure they are going to use the Easy Streets gates to police who gets in with a parking permit.

pretty sure we all have read that...it really doesnt address how THAT lot will be monitored as far as entering campus.
technically, it appears to me, that each lot will likely have a guard to police this.

Ag lot will still be free..... for now.

It's a free lot, there's nothing to guard. There's the guard shack on S. Stadium right past the intersection with highland, which is where the new paid lots will start.

They will use the gates to charge anyone coming on to campus during gameday weekend hours (Fri night thru Saturday). Pretty easy to do now with the gates in place. Wow...think they considered that a few years ago when they put them in?? I'm sure it was just all about making it a walking campus during the week like they said! Right!!!!

So looks Like my spot is free (for now) but would we even be let on to campus? This is stupid

Why wouldn't you be let on campus? They aren't going to put up a fence around the whole damn thing. Drive down Stanford, wrap around the lakes, pull into the Ag lot. Done. Now you'll probably have to do that 2-3 hours earlier now due to everybody flocking to free parking, but it's certainly there for you.

would he be able to enter that same spot from Highland?
thats really the question for me.

Sure you would be able to get there from Highland like you can now. It's only when you turn onto campus in the direction of Tiger Stadium that the gates will be there.

thats what i was thinking.
so people would have no choice but to turn into the Parker Coliseum lot.

I thought it read that these would not be parking areas with a pass. You just show up and pay on a week to week basis. Did I misunderstand?

man there are going to be lots of people we're going to have to fight with about that spot. going to be a long year next year

There seems to be some confusion. You can drive on highland like always, but in order to drive anywhere towards the river, you'll have to go through the guard gates. You don;t have to turn into the lot at all.

You have to buy a pass week to week.
The Ag Lot is going to prime parking next year.

Right. You could still turn down South Stadium and go park back by the REC Center. Or keep going down Highland and park by the Law School or U-High.
