Last night showed he should be under question as an uncontested starter. I think Nuss deserves some meaningful snaps, at minimum and I think he should be allowed to start a game.

That’s clown stuff, man. This isn’t about what anyone deserves; it’s about what’s best for the team. Daniels gives us the best chance of winning. He definitely took a step backwards yesterday. It appeared, before yesterday, that Daniels was starting to get more comfortable with the offense and was able to make reads a little better. Yesterday was a step back. Let’s see if he can start moving forward again.

The latest nonsense is that a week of reps with the first team and a start will somehow transform this mediocre under performer. As if he didn’t get reps in the spring. As if he didn’t start against Arkansas last year. As if he hasn’t had the Opportunity to show what he can do this season. In football, you earn the right to first team reps. You earn the right to start. You earn that right in practice; he didn’t. You earn it when you get in the game; he hasn’t. Rewarding bad play by making Nuss a starter would be a mockery of what sports are about.

So far, this team has stayed together and played hard. There is no quarterback controversy in the locker room. Make some clown who hasn’t earned it your starting quarterback and see what happens.

If Southern is part of his history then so is New Mexico. He was trying to force stuff against Southern. Against New Mexico he was 9/10 135 yards 1 TD. He wasn't trying force stuff against New Mexico or Auburn.

That might be true in some cases but appears that seems to always be the case at LSU for the most part.

A change in scenery for our receivers maybe? We had a total of 270 yards last night. 270. 85 passing. That is horrible. So what Nuss throws a couple pics. At least we get some passing yards and keep defenses honest. And our receivers actually get some action. I understand we need wins(Kelly needs wins)., But maybe we get to six wins and then let Nuss finish out our rebuild year.

You gonna give me his stats or more excuses? Cause this is the problem the put Nuss crowd in has. They talk a lot of shite about JD but when asked what has Nuss done yall say what about JD bad game. All i ask was you to give me Nuss stats that's better than JD .

For me it seems that Nuss can process his receivers faster and is willing to throw the ball. True he needs a lot of development, but Daniels is not showing that his passing game will improve or that his accuracy will improve.

We know what we have in Daniels after 30+ starts at two schools. An excellent runner. A gun-shy, inaccurate passer.

With Nuss we have a willing passer who needs to be reined in. Who has some mobility in the pocket, but who will never be the runner that Daniels is. What would Nuss be with 30 starts? I think he would be a good passer and would learn to limit his interceptions.

I don’t think you can win in the SEC these days with a good runner/horrible passer. Hurts was at least serviceable as a thrower and Bama could win with him. Daniels is not Hurts.

SOME productivity from SOMEWHERE so that leaves Jayden running the ball.

Maybe the defense, and the o-line and rbs when not fumbling?

I love what Jayden does when he scrambles out of a mess and picks up a first. I just wish he could read defenses, and throw an accurate pass. Bonus would be to throw it to someone other than the one person that he decides in the huddle he I’ll throw to, that just so happens to be a big, slow, white dude with questionable hands that only runs 3 yard routes.

If you graded Nuss based off his QBR and not what you saw then I can’t help you.

Bad ball placement and full heat on every throw? Because that's what I've mostly seen from his nearly 100 attempts.

For what team? He has shown that he is a college back up thus far. I'm not sure you can take anything substantive from the New Mexico game from an offensive standpoint. Nussmeier got those stats playing mostly their second string.

What people see is that Nuss makes quick decisions (sometimes too quick) - which is the polar opposite of what we have been frustratingly watching.

I think 7 or 8 drops with Daniels. Taylor 2, Nabers 3, Emery 1, Thomas 2? Or maybe Thomas’ 2nd was with Nuss.

It’s not a drop when the pass was so bad it’s take an all time catch to bring it in. You doubled the amount of drops he actually had to shite on the guy you don’t like

I wouldn’t put any stock in what his QBR was last night.

Well, not if you're a Nuss guy. Also, don't put any stock in his QBR vs that defensive powerhouse Southern.

Nuss has not been good. And he does not add the running dimension that Daniels does.

He has the ability for potential pick six or interception at every single throw, he seems to just force his throws doesn’t matter the coverage.
