Maybe we should just put the goalposts on wheels so you don't have to burn so many calories moving them.

wut?

go into that response thread and see where i "moved goalposts" when VOR was discussing the quality of teams, so i responded in kind

i don't think you know what that term means

You moved the goalposts from "two ranked opponents" to "no good teams."

Water break. You must be tired.

Sfp is pretty well known for diminishing lsu wins and downgrading the opponents while pumping other teams wins.

that's not what "moving the goalposts" means

auburn is not ranked (and doesn't look to come close to that) and moo state is going to hover around 30-40 all year, likely

since they got an easy opponent this week (auburn) they moved in due to preseason hype and SEC bias. it won't last when they have to play more good teams (like LSU)

regardless, seriously, you have no idea what "move the goalposts" means

those are really good QB times

we also used JJ a lot more in the running game and i expect harris to barely run by the time he leaves here, so he's going to lose what above average athleticism that he does have. mobile QBs have to "use it or lose it" with that fast-twitch muscle memory

of those 6 teams, the best is/was Wisconsin

moo state is ok

auburn/syracuse are simply not good. i lump all "not good" teams into the same tier (and this isn't a new argument i've been making it for over a decade, esp with how SOS penalizes scheduling 1AA teams when they're of the same quality as all other "not good" teams)

there is about a top-3 tier each year, a top-10(ish) tier, and then a top 30-40 tier. once you get past that it's all shite

Seems like an easy way for you to discredit lsu wins.

Do you take this scale in account when judging other teams vs lsu? I doubt it seriously.

actually it will be a way to pump up LSU's SOS at the end of the year and discredit MSU, OSU, and Baylor

we just aren't there, yet. all of our good teams are at the end of our schedule (Ole Miss, Bama, and TAMU), so we won't get the bump till then

literally was developed to defend LSU (and other SEC teams, mind you) starting in 2003

we always get shite on for scheduling a 1AA team and this is to lump those together with shitty MAC/SunBelt/WAC wins other conferences feast on

Ok. I see what you are saying.

Off topic but what are your thoughts on lsu vs a&m this year and how they match up?

I see lsu still being able to abuse them with the run.

haven't gotten to watch TAMU much, but they are like baylor-lite, and playing a team like baylor scares me

The passing game was not needed except in cases of penalties putting the offense in deep holes at Syracuse. The backs all ran hard.

Each pass puts the QB of injury risk from blindside shots. LSU ends up winning by 10. THe Carrier Dome is a very tough environment giving them imo a 10 point advantage at home. The Orangemen use it to their advantage as does Seattle in the NFL.

Good game Tigers

Seriously. Lotta stupid around here tonight.

Im sorry you can't tell the difference between JJ and Harris.
They look nothing alike while playing qb.
JJ'S ability to reset his feet after moving was nonexistent
Harris is decent.
JJ'S delivery was one of the longest in cfb.
Harris' delivery is compact and nfl worthy.
Once JJ'S Pocket got muddy he took his eyes off of down field.
Harris has actually moved in the pocket and then threw a pass.
JJ rarely made it to his 2nd read.
Harris makes it to his 3rd -4th read.
JJ didn't have a NFL arm.
Harris does have a nfl arm.

Just because you can't see these difference, it doesn't mean they aren't there.

Maybe. I don't think being one dimensional will work vs the rest of the SEC teams on the schedule, possibly except for South Carolina.
