IMO it is totally necessary. They will need to play both until they are confident Jennings decision making is good. So both need to get snaps.

I am really concerned with Jennings decision making skills based on his performance in the game against Iowa and the spring game. So at least until Jennings proves himself Harris better be a big part of the game planning. Maybe it will prove to be different, but Harris seems a better playmaker and has more confidence in himself. If I am correct we may see Harris move to #1 during the Wisconsin game.

People use this football forum to (get this) discuss football.

Retards kick and scream that the coaches know best, like everyone doesn't already fricking know that.

If they keep rotating guys during the season it will be early, just to see if the backup might play better when the lights are on. Running a two QB systems is just hilariously stupid and they don't work in the long run. LSU and Florida won their titles in 2006 and 2007 with clear cut number 1 starters and a situation guy with a different skill set-Tebow's being that of a fullback in short yardage, and Perrilloux's was his ability to brawl at the Varsity and insulting servers at Kona Grill.

Never been a fan of a two quarterback system that features 2 guys with a similar skill set. If all things are even when it comes to talent and decision making, then you start and stick with the guy that commands the most respect in the huddle and in the locker room.

LSU has an actual QB in Bergeron, He could've gone somewhere else on scholarship but chose to walk-on here. We don't hear much about him. I just wonder what the deal is with him.

I see you only have seven posts. You are not allowed to have an opinion yet. Anytime you feel that you are in a situation where an opinion might be needed please get with an older more established poster and he or she will tell you what your opinion is.

2014 is going to be a great season, but we aren't competing for a natty. If Harris is the guy, let him get a year under his belt. Next 2 years will be beastly.

Easy now. The SEC is probably as wide open this year as it's been in years.

Sorry in advance for using this horrible cliche', but that's why the games are played.

Cautiously optimistic is how I'm approaching this season. I'm not expecting to win the SEC, but with all the talent we have, I wouldn't count us out. Just depends on how it all comes together.

LSU has just as much chance as anybody. All of the heavy's have questions at key positions.

Defense is going to be better.

Offense has some questions but CC will have them ready I have no doubt.

I am thinking that they run the table and take it all.

IMO both will be used to LSU advantage. I think Jennings will be used in the more conventional way whereas Harris will be used in the hurry up offense. Remember Grimes was part of Auburn's staff. That coupled with Harris on the read option will be deadly. And even though Cam is the main man calling the shots on offense, Les is no fool, he saw the success Auburn offensive line had against Bama.

That's pretty much how I see it as well.

Nobody else in the SEC has the sheer amount of talent we do, other than Bama of course, but even that differential is much less than most think it is imo.

All depends on our touted freshman class coming in and playing up to their expectations/potential. I think LF is a sure thing to make a huge splash, and if any combination of Harris, Quinn, Dupre, etc..turn out to be as good as advertised, then we should be as good as anybody.

I'd really like to have a clear starter at QB by the Auburn game. That might be our toughest test of the regular season, our first road game in a tough environment with all this youth. We have 5 games before that though, should be plenty of time to get the young guys up to speed.

I'm still pulling for Craig Nall.

He was certainly better than Booty and would have wound up as a solid stater for us had prima donna Booty not come in with all his hype and mucked up the QB situation.

Are you guys worried that Jenning could transfer since he didn't redshirt? If so, let us have him back already. We need somebody to take the reigns after Mariota.

Playing them both gives you more time.

I was being sarcastic about giving him back already. Oregon was going to get his verbal until LSU came and offered. Chip wanted Jennings bad.

When Mariota was named the starter over Bennett, he almost transferred before the season. If Harris is younger and named the starter, gotta think Jennings gives it a thought.
