Thank you. That's the only point I was trying to make. I for one was totally disappointed when he was announced but hey he was our DC so I learned to like him. Thought the D struggled all year until the final 2 games, maybe it was him, maybe it was players getting used to the system. I don't know. I do know that after the bowl game I was buying into him. I know it's only TT don't get too excited, but they have one of the top 3 offenses in the NATION. and that QB is the best I've seen ALL YEAR. Find a silver lining and let's hope we get someone great that everyone wants to play for. Especially the juniors.

Meh. frick Kevin Steele. I can't wait to play Auburn next year and expose his mediocre arse.

the D improved substantially as the year went on.

I love when people say this. At the end of the year, LSU got blown out in three of its final four games. In each game, LSU gave up more points than in the previous game. LSU's defense did not get better as the year went along. Thankfully, Sumlin had already destroyed his team from within by the time they came to Death Valley. Even then, only Miles could manage to trail that pitiful team 7-6 at half.

Have we reached the point where we're thanking coaches for walking out on us and going to a western division rival?

When that coach is Kevin Steele, absolutely. It has everything you could want. It makes us better and Auburn, somehow, worse. Going from Muschamp to Kevin Steele might be the steepest downgrade in SEC history.

This Steele praise is fricking pathetic. He was terrible and should not be praised for beating an overmatched team on his way out.

I'm usually a glass half empty kind of guy, but some of you buttmunches are so fricking negative it's amazing. It's obvious that he was not a popular hire with most of the rant, but he did a decent job with a defense that was thin at some positions. I know November sucked, but lets not act like it would have been any different had Chavis stayed.

He handled his departure professionally, unlike Chavis a year earlier. He coached a good game against Texas Tech. And even though Tech was "overmatched" not very many teams stopped the Red Raiders offense as well as Steeles did Tuesday night.

I personally thank him for his efforts during the 2015 season.
