Just not the props we like to see.

Mettenberger kept his cool after getting owned by J.J. Watt yesterday. Watt had 2 1/2 sacks and 9 hits on Mettenberger. The Texans had a franchise record 7 team sacks on Mett. The Titans never doubled teamed Watt, just crazy!

Watt publicly ridiculed Mett last year. It takes a lot to endure what Mett took yesterday. I hope he can find a team that has an offensive line. No QB should have to go thru what Mett went thru yesterday. He never lost his head and hung in to the end. Mett is a solid NFL QB if he does not get hurt first.

Huge Met fan, but from how he has played, compared to how OBJ and Landry have played, I'm not so sure if he is gonna pan out. I'm hopeful, but.....starting to come back to reality a bit more perhaps.

A lot of people talk about the 2013 team and all the NFL players on it and get upset we didn't win anything. An NFL QB! But it's starting to seem to me that QB was still a weak point....after all, did we forget about the first half of the Ole Miss Game?

Titans should have shopped their high pick to help build a line

Yea, Watt checked social media before a game last year to ridicule Mett for being on social media before a game.

Just think if he was on the Dolphins or Giants, or if OBJ and/or Landry was on the titans. I just think he's on the wrong team. Mariotta got smashed as well which is why he's injured.

Who do the titans have for WR anyway?

Yea the Titans real struggle is that TERRIBLE O Line. Those dudes are hot garbage. If Mett can get somewhere with a decent line to protect him and a coach who is worth a crap, he will be ok.

The Titans have one of he worst OL in football. It's that bad. I live in Nashville and listen to local sports radio and it's something everyone, including Frank Wycheck, have been frustrated by.

In other words, I think you're being too critical of Mett.

Hope for the best, but these early years on bad teams can really hurt the development and composure of younger QB's.

He has a veteran QB that is backing him up, and Wisenhunt is a pretty damn good HC to learn from as a QB.

The line as already mentioned is terrible, but even still Mett made some bad reads even when he had enough time. It will come, you just hope these early years do not change his demeanor and how he plays in the future.

If they suck hard this year and get another high draft pick and there's not a better qb prospect this year, they made the right decision. There was just some risk involved.

you get your franchise QB first then you build your o-line and not the other way around. Mett can still be a solid backup in this league.

Did you forget that over a 8-10 year span there are like 5000 NCAA QBs, only 32 of em started NFL games yesterday. I suppose that trumps a bad half against Ole Miss

You continue to be an ignorant poster on this site. I assume that you are 21 or 22 years old and just have very little wisdom yet. At least, I hope that is your excuse. If you are older, than that means you are just a lifer in terms of lacking intelligence. You are basing Mett's performance off of his play with an absolute horrible supporting cast. Tells me all I need to know about your sports IQ.

They'll get another chance to do that in the upcoming draft.

The WRs there are just as much a problem as the OL it seems. I think at one point they were down to 4 WR on the roster total. When you are constantly under pressure AND have no chemistry (a la 2012 Mett/OBJ/Landry) with your WRs things go south in a hurry.

They had at least 7 and maybe 8 WRs in camp.

If you actually read my post, its hardly critical. I said Im hopeful but not sure that he is going to pan out as a starting NFL QB. Its a pretty rational post actually. Im also commenting on people on this board always saying "omg how did we not win a championship with all these playmakers!!!" because usually they overrate the QB

Not arguing... posted before looking this up, which I probably should have done. Looked it up out of curiosity because, frankly, couldn't remember where or why I had that number of 4 WRs in my head.

Titans add Rico Roberson 10/31

Titans show 5 WRs active

blows my mind, they were indeed down to 4 WRs prior to Texans game, but Rico being added means that was likely between games and had 5 in the previous game too.

Just noticed Green-Beckham is one of them. Dude has grown, fricking huge. Too bad both his recruitment (Mizzou) and then his behavior was so jacked up. He likely could be a star, right now. Might be later, but he isn't right now. There's the "value" of actually playing in college. Not the best example, but when people want to talk about skipping JR years why it might not be the best idea, skill pos players anyway.
