Come on guys. They never talk directly to the coach to start. You start with the agent. Very easy to call Sexton about Jimbo and ask "by the way any other coaches you work with interested?"

Personally I'd find it a lot more satisfying to beat him than have him join us again, anyway.
Besides. Alabama would find a way to pass a bill to stop all govt expenses so that they could give him a 15 billion dollar raise if he was threatening to leave.

This leaking to the media makes LSU look so desperate and clueless it's sickening. LSU has zero, I mean zero chance of landing either of these guys because their current jobs are better.
Of course any coach with a job right now is going to deny talking to LSU so why not just keep everything silent until you have your guy(Probably not until late Dec early Jan) and let coach O finish the season?

I think that it is also a nice stroke of Herman's ego to say "We only called Saban, Meyer, Stoops, Fisher and You."
