You mean like this one where you have a player who literally has no idea who he's guarding or even where the man he might be guarding is located?
Lol, I can't tell if the whole team is playing zone or just Epps.

Malone isn't. Robinson has some skill for a guy his size. The problem is that he's just too slow for this level.
So my point he is not very good at "this" level
Look I want to give Robinson the benefit of the doubt and he has come leaps and bounds from last year and maybe next year he will be even better. But, my God the dude is slow as molasses and has hands of stones! How can a guy 7'0 and I am assuming has big hands not be able to catch a ball or control a ball? Maybe he has small hands for a big man

C'mon man! You comparing as a whole our 3 freshmen to UK's 3 freshmen or all their 5* freshmen
All their freshmen are basically all Ben Simmons's!
No, no they aren't.

Okay maybe that was a reach. Regardless I think you know what I was saying. Even though Blakeney(well not as of lately) and Sampson seem to be pretty damn good players they are not on the level as UK's freshmen, no way no how!

I feel like we'll sneak into the tourney even with the slow start. Gotta get some big W's though
Problem is there are not many of those on the schedule

Kentucky twice, Vandy on road, A&M twice, Oklahoma, Wake Forest. The opportunities are there they just have to take advantage of them.

Although article is correct, the gif posted is dumb. Take Ben Simmons away we aren't a tourney team. Take Victor, Horns, Simmons away, we are a bottom tier SEC school. And in that particular play, Simmons is not on the court. So What are we expecting to happen? It's also so easy to pick particular plays. Honestly, the reason we lost to Marquette and Charleston is because of bad FT shooting and missed wide open shots. NC State Simmons fouled out so we had no shot in OT.
Is it fair to put EVERYTHING on Simmons? No, but he's an elite player and a superstar. We made huge adjustments for UNF and it paid off offensively. Our defense is still suspect with Victor out, and our Freshmen guards can't defend so we need Horns. Hopefully our offense carry us until they come back

Has anyone watched UK this year? They don't look special. They've had single digit leads with 5 minutes left in almost all their games. Jay Williams went off on them at halftime against Eastern Kentucky because how sadly they were playing

Yea, it's hard to tell what exactly we are running. Because J Pat got screened by a big man, and Beech plays a guard role for UNF. If it's man, that's not on Epps. And in Epps' defense, if you rarely ever play matchup zone, it's hard to just adjust to it and succeed it. At halftime CJJ made tons of adjustments and we absolutely dominated the second half. I hope he realizes we are a straight man team. And Ben belongs in the post or float. Don't have him up too trying to create

Ridiculous. Elbert is getting the ball and no one is doing anything beyond what we all didn't do in grade school P.E.

You don't just stand on the outside, they look open but by the time the ball gets there they will be taking a contested 3.

Lol
It's the other side of the ball that's the huge problem.

sneak into the tourney
Sneak in? Hoops guys on here declared this season was "Sweet 16" or bust for Jones. Now people are making excuses and backing off that. Give Jones Kentuckys talent and he'd screw it up. We'll never win anything significant with him but our Ath Dept has bigger fish to fry than this.

. This team will be much better in a month or so.
Why? Is JJ being replaced?

What have you seen from this team that would indicate that there's anyway at all we win even one of those games? Thus far this team has proven to be one of the worst LSU hoops teams I've ever seen. The shooting is horrid. The offensive strategy is weak. The rebounding is pathetic. They'll no doubt get somewhat more cohesive as a unit as the year goes and getting Hornsby back has to help some. Victor? Who knows? Can't possibly be worse than what we've had.

22-9 regular season and get to the tournament semi-final [with the SEC being a weak conference this year] and they'll make the tourney, but if they only go 3-3 in the balance of the non-conference games, that provides very little wiggle room.

For all the credit CJJ has gotten for recruiting, and he has done well in the guard and swingman positions, that we have four guys considered as post position players on scholarship who are giving us very little in an area of extreme need for this team, rebounding and interior defense, is a minus on that front.
Victors going to have to be all he's touted by some to be and he's going to have to play a lot and stay out of foul trouble.

...Lets all recognize reality ... Coach JJ - a nice fellow - is a somnambulant game day floor coach with the enthusiasm, presence and awareness of a narcoleptic ...
