Why would Edwards not return?

Taylor said he was returning, but of course that could change.

2019 is not new. It’s still 12 to 18 months recovery process. Coleman was on the fast side of recovery.

Well the article in my link says 6 months.

It’s probably “new” enough that there’s skepticism but hopefully it’ll become the norm.

Damn it sounds like our entire pitching staff is gone after this year judging by this thread

He’s seen firsthand what an elite year can do for your draft prospects (see: Skenes, Paul). He will be back.

It's a 12-15 month recovery

So there's an outside chance that Edwards and shores make it back but unlikely

Grant Taylor should but human bodies are all different. Who knows.

Right now it looks like Hurd and Herring will be 2 of our weekend starters. Hopefully we snag a few out of the portal

I’m guessing Jay anticipates him getting drafted and signing pro, even with the arm injury.

You’ll have Hurd, Taylor, Noot, Coleman, Herring who all can become starters.

My hope is they land Cameron Johnson and Jake Brown…both who will be main stays for years.

100% LSU will be hitting the portal hard for a veteran arm. The cup won’t be bare next year.

Barring setbacks Taylor will pitch. His injury occurred in a scrimmage before the season started and I'm sure his surgery was shortly thereafter. Shores is very TBD. Noot should also be back which is promising. Hope to see Coleman pitch well the rest of this season and show he can be in the running next season for a weekend spot too.

Portal will yield at least one SP and honestly I'm not well-read on the incoming recruiting class, but I would bet there is a high probability of inbound arms that can contribute.
