Probability Taylor and Shores pitch at all next year

I imagine Taylor is very likely, barring a setback. Shores seems unlikely.

Taylor could get drafted high enough to leave this year, but he could possibly work his way into a very high 1st round pick if he returns.

Is he a draft eligible sophomore?
Regardless, going after a decent freshman campaign and coming off of surgery doesn’t seem like the best way to maximize his value.

Taylor turns 21 tomorrow. An unfortunate birthday for LSU baseball, but yes he’s eligible.

I'm guessing no Shores and no Edwards. Best hope for Taylor is similar to what Coleman is doing. That's IF these guys are even on the roster next year. Jay will hit the portal hard for pitchers again. That'll become the norm. Hurd will get another shot

Jay indicted that Taylor plans to return, but things can change quickly when hypotheticals become real decisions.

Of course things can change but Jay spoke with Taylor after his injury and Taylor told him he will be back with LSU next year.

I mean this could happen but he’s thrown 31 college innings and given up 32 hits with a 5.81 ERA. And then coming off an injury… that’s a risk for a high pick.

Johnson stated on the coaches radio show last Monday night that Edwards has likely thrown his last pitch in an LSU uniform
