re: Newman ERA - LuapGibb
ERA can be a misleading stat at times
I think a more important stat for LSU relievers is how many inherited runners they've allowed to score, which doesn't show up in their personal ERA....

re: .300blk reloaders I've playing with lead bullets - LuapGibb
Very nice! Try to stick to American made cases. They tend to be the right wall thickness for converting to .300 BLK. There is a chart floating around the internet with all manufacturers with the good wall thickness for conversion, and those which are not good for converting....

re: Where do they rank in LSU baseball lore? - LuapGibb
Yeah, DJ gets honorable mention since he did play some SS during his tenure here. He was an absolute fantastic player, but I picture him in my mind as a second baseman since that's where he was during the '09 title run, Nola being the SS later in the season and through the postseason....

re: Where do they rank in LSU baseball lore? - LuapGibb
Didn't Aaron Hill play SS too?
Yes, he sure did and he definitely needs to be on the list. He was real good. I admit I had to look him up to make sure, but his player bio says he started 60 of his 68 starts in 2003 at SS (the other 8 being at third)....

re: Where do they rank in LSU baseball lore? - LuapGibb
Kramer's probably top 10. Lot of good short stops over the years (not necessarily in order of best): Russ Johnson Alex Bregman Andy Sheets Brandon Larson Ryan Theriot Austin Nola Kramer Robertson It's tough company to be in that list. There's some good ones have come through. I may be...
That's the difference between stress of being a coach and no stress does to a person.
He never seemed all that stressed as a coach. He was pretty content with the way things were going. But he's a likeable fella....

re: Baseball Game 2: Aubarn 3 vs LSU 5 | Final Tigers Win Series!!!!!! - LuapGibb
Smith has been flying out to the deep outfield at an incredible rate lately, he either needs to learn to put it on the ground or get in the weight room to turn all these deep flies into homeruns. He's making solid contact....

re: Papierski - LuapGibb
Papierski: MLB Draft: 16th round in 2014 (Toronto) Deichmann: MLB Draft: 26th round in 2016 (Minnesota) However, I definitely think Deichmann will jump him in this year's draft. He's had too good of a year not to....

re: So gentlemen, how bad is this team? - LuapGibb
The 1 thru 4 hole hitters went a combined 1 for 15 last night. That should only happen a hand full of times in a season, but it seams like it happens once a weekend. And that one hit was the double when Freeman was thrown out on third. Very poor production from the top of the order. In all fairn...

re: Baseball Game 1: USCe 3 vs LSU 2 | final - LuapGibb
That inning at the plate sums up the season, a lineup full of small slap hitters hitting fly balls, and the few bigs guys in the lineup grounding out....
