Not only did he appear dispassionate in interviews, he clocked in the high 4.5s in the 40 — slower than expected — and only repped 225 pounds nine times at 221 pounds, poor for a safety of his size irrelevant of whether baseball has affected his conditioning.

This is the key item that scouts are discovering. Perfect way to describe his play most of the time on the football field. To me he always looked like he was lacking a true passion and/or aggressiveness to excel as a big time defensive player.

this is pretty pathetic...I think Trindon did 10 reps.

also, i listed the bama forced fumble.
reading. Learn how to do it. You listed the sack FF from 2007, I listed the FF from 2008 that prevented a TD

i don't know why in the hell he didn't stay here, play baseball this season .. see where he goes in the draft .. and then use football as his bargaining chip if anything ...

we routed gt. how was chad's play a game changer?
it came on GT's first offensive possession. Who knows what would have happened the rest of the game if they scored there. It was a game changer. To say otherwise is foolish

i just think jones' future is in baseball, not football .. i guess he just wanted the big money fast and didn't wanna toil in the minors or something .. but the notoriety that he got last year in the CWS would have been a huge publicity springboard for this baseball season for him ...

people just don't get this .. a big play in a 7-7 game in the 2nd quarter that turns into a 35-7 blow out is just as huge as one in the final seconds of a 2-point game .. momentum and emotion are huge in football ...

he has tremendous raw baseball talent. He showcased it on a national stage in Omaha. If he showed that same stuff this season, he's a first rounder. He can make tons more money in baseball

not a doubt in my mind about this...who the hell is advising him?

Left handed, throwing 90+ with an above average breaking ball, not to mention his intimidating presence on the mound. He was a sure thing high draft pick in baseball.

you bring the nasty 92MPH stuff he was bringing from the left side .. someone's gonna grab you in MLB ... he had never really proven himself in the field or at the plate yet .. but he could have rick ankiel'ed it down the road if pitching didn't work out ..

in all seriousness, i truly believe that chad jones has actually made the mistake of buying in to his own hype.

i can't figure out who sold jones on doing this ... the only thing was the "hurry up and get into the NFL draft because of the potential 2011 lockout angle" .. but, still .. did chad really think he was going to be high to mid first rounder ?? he said his first love was baseball .. but i guess there might have been a scholly issue with him being on scholarship for football .. then playing baseball and then never playing football again possibly this year .. that's all i can see ..

well, if that is true, that would explain him jumping to football and would also explain his horrible showing in the bench press at the combine .. i could see his camp wanting to keep that under wraps if true ..
