I haven't been this nervous since Dre's Freshman yr.Its good actually to be playing some games that matter at this time of the yr, Past 3yrs we have been on the outside looking in, with virtually nothing to play for.

It is nice to be playing for something but Im gonna lose hair over this season. I wish we were playing for seeding rather than our tournament hopes, but I'll take it.

On a different note, Im interested to see how Tim Quarterman reacts to going home to play for the first time since joining LSU. We heard it about JOB in Mississippi, and Hickey against UK.

He's a Machine when it comes to blocking shots. His timing is so good and he almost never leaves his feet before offensive player does.

I think he'll be fine because there is minimal pressure on him. He comes in to manage the game and cause choas defensively with his length, so its not like he's going there with a I want to score mentality he's a pass first guy by nature. When hick, dre, job play their home squads its some "ill show you" type of thing going on, for better or worse lol

Knowing that uga likes to play slow id love to see us crank the press on them early and then drop to our zone

They also have Wichita St as the #1 seed in that part of the bracket

Ohh they baddddd..

I would 100% consider them 1 seed.

At this point, it definitely doesn't matter who's in your bracket. But I guess it gives you an idea of the type of team you could play.

I understand why they are up there now (undefeated and highly ranked). But they only have one win in the top 25 and 3 in the top 50. SOS at 86 and OPP SOS at 103. Best win is @ Saint Louis and Tenn at home.

I am just not sure they are actually deserving of a 1 seed, nor will they be there at the end of the season.

While Im against putting the mid major undefeated types in football into BCS talk or whatever, in basketball, there are a lot of good mid level teams. And they are undefeated. Plus they pass the eye test big time. They have it all.

Still, if I was to play a #1 seed, I wouldn't mind having it be the Shockers

A tidbit on Charles Mann, UGA's 6'5" PG:

In Georgia's two games last week, 6'5" PG Charles Mann averaged 19 points per game. That was over 30% of UGA's points last week.

Im not disagreeing with that. Im just thinking a little too realistic, in that they more than likely will lose a few games which will drop them from a 1 seed. I get why they are there now but just seems pointless to put them there when a large reason why they are ranked so high is that they havent lost yet.

Interesting story-line will be Mann versus Quarterman. Quarterman's played some good defense against some really good guards this season--Clarkson, Harrison, & Releford. I'm excited about our PG situation for the next few seasons.

they also went to the final 4 last year. They're undefeated, they're deserving.
