And this is why Saban has racked up 3 natty's and miles has 1 with sabans players. I'd rather have a hard arse that expects perfection from everyone instead of a cream puff that babies everyone. Money never sleeps and neither does greatness.

Oh lord

Things have worked out very well for Les and his family. He has been good for the Tigers, but career wise Nick has gotten the better end of the deal winning 3 out of 4 national titles. It's hard to argue with Nick's success even if it's a reputable source like a car mechanic.

Ohhh goody, another thread regarding Saban is a prick and Miles is a nice guy....8 years after anyone should give a shite.

I guess since this info game from a guy at a car repair place it was worth him posting though.

Also Nick tried to return to LSU after the NFL job.

This is total, complete unadulterated bullshite.

The next time you feel the need of a little attention, try dropping your pants in the Middle of your nearest Wall-Mart.

Cool story, only I'm not sure how true it is. I've talked to a couple former players who have said that there were plenty of nights they were coming home from Tigerland and Saban's car was still in his parking spot and his office lights still on. To totally different ways of running a program.

Don't forget, from a mechanic via the wife of the asst equipment manager. That and PP was getting his butlers car fixed.

Most of it is just crap and I'm amazed at how many idiots believe it. Saban never wanted to come back to LSU. When it was obvious to him that he was out of his depth in the NFL, he and his agent helped to engineer the downfall of Shula.

LSU never was his destination job. It's time for the Sabanistas around here to realize that. He didn't intend to stay when he got here and he sure as hell never wanted to come back. Get over it.

Working harder, and being worked hard, are two different things.

I believe Saban's situation at LSU is like Sumlin's at A&M. Sumlin will be out of that place as soon as the right situation opens up. Expect that to happen about the same time JM is done there.

One guy has 4 NCs and the other tripped backwards into one while trying to walk and chew gum at the same time...what's your point?

Anyone using this term loses credibility instantly for me.

To me, Saban is in Bama because they paid for him and the Colette's were on their knees waiting for his plane's arrival.

He never would have gotten that reception coming back to LSU. Never. Egomaniacs play coy, but relish in that attention.

Its really sad and pathetic how many so called LSU fans will go out of their way to ridicule the our coach and his accomplishments because he's not as good as the previous coach. The idea that you have to be a raging dick to be successful is also nonsense and if you think Les and his staff don't work hard you are also kidding yourself.

As for being lucky to win a championship every one needs luck but especially in CFB. Remember Tuberville and Auburn went undefeated and didn't even get to play for the title. So while you do have to be really good and well prepared for the game, a lot has to go you way to get in it most times.

He had to figure out how to run a successful offense while the head coach wanted to run up against 11 man fronts with FB Dives on 3rd and 5

Saban is at Bama because he realized that the NFL was eating his lunch and that he would never, and I repeat NEVER be a top do on that league.
Bama was struggling through the Shula debacle. About mid season, Saban's agent floated interest in the Alabama job, "should the opening occur any time soon." It did. The Kubuki dance with Rodrigues was just buying time to iron out the final details between the Crimson Tide and Saban.
At no time was there any mention or discussions about returning to LSU.
Get over it. Saban was never going to spend any great time in Baton Rouge in the first place and he was never, ever going to come back.
Truth is often cruel. After you come to accept the truth about Saban, I'll come back and discuss the Easter Rabbit thing with you.
