If Harris is what we think/hope he is, I guarantee you that we will have a 1QB year

now if Harris struggles, then yeah, we should all be prepared to see Jennings

Why would you expect to see Jennings in 3rd down when he's a significantly worse passer? And short yardage? Huh? It's not like Jennings is a big guy.

Good question! I think that in 3'd and short or goalline situations. I think he is a better option-style QB than BH. I know he isn't popular but he does have a lot more SEC gametime experience than BH. AJ is totally viable in situations he isn't required to throw the rock simply because of his experience and larger size.

What a prediction. Virtually every quarterback gets winded or sits out a series for a slight injury. It is the exception for a starter to take every snap. You are reaching to make a point. I'm not sure how great the QBs will be, but you have a sky is falling mentality.

He's got BH by 8-10 lbs. not that big a difference. And even if that were true, this is not the "two QB system."

When u say that u will have a 2 QB situation means u don't have a QB!

if the defense played like they did the second half of the regular season, then yes. Do you not recall MSU and AU pushing our D's shite in?

It's a fact that it's been stated that Harris has distanced himself. I'm not sure you understand how facts work.

He wasn't named the starter for any game even after AJ was arrested. Just reading between the lines here. This says something unless you believe that Miles is playing poker with our SEC opponents.

Naming a starter offers no competitive advantage, at all. It's actually very encouraging that he's talked about Harris so much, it implies Harris may be forcing his hand a bit through what practice observers are going to say anyway.

Here's where I disagree. Naming a starter offers no competitive disadvantage unless you're planning on doing something unorthodox. Otherwise, why ever name a starter? I think we're going to see something unorthodox this season.

This couldn't be more off base. Miles simply doesn't believe in giving out information to make you feel better. He would withhold what color cleats the team will wear if he thought they made the players a little faster.

Exactly. He's bluffing a weak hand. He has to live up to his "Mad Hatter" persona. The real bluff would be to say Jennings is the starter, has never thrown an incomplete pass in practice and runs a 4.2 40 pulling a tire.

The idea that Miles is intelligently playing the fans and the media is a joke.

I'm not sure why everyone is tripped up by this. Les Miles didn't name JaMarcus Russell the starter . . . wait for it, twice. Before the '05 season and going into the '06 season after Flynn tore up Miami. This isn't new, so trying to glean hints from the way Les is handling this is nonsensical.

The way I see it, they were two top notch high school quarterbacks and still are.
No progress=long frustrating year. We do have great overall talent.

I think you've had way too much coffee this morning. Not a single word of that response could be called a coherent or logical thought.

No you're not. Miles said himself that BH is "clearly ahead". That is a statement that he has distanced himself. So you're not reading anything. You're saying exactly the opposite of what Les said

Now I know you're a troll. You got me. Good job.

Not a troll, a new account. Lurker for years, but could never sign up with a gmail account.

I just disagree with you, that's all.
In the end, we're both tiger fans.

I really do wish BH would be the next ZM or Jamarcus Russell. Polling recent history I'm starting to think BH will be the JLee to AJ's Jordan Jeffereson. I honestly think that we'll see AJ platoon in with the jumbo's on 3'd and goal and short yardage... even IF BH is having a Jamarcus like season.

Where did this ridiculous idea come from that Jennings is a better athlete/runner? The only reason we even ran the read option last year is because he can't throw to save his life. Jennings is a decent runner at best.

As a side note. Can we get a season long sticky thread just for the QB position? Getting kind of tired of every tom dick and harry like me chiming in with their 2 cents every 10 minutes.

Agreed 100%!
