Here's what I think will be the committee's top 4:

1. LSU
2. Clemson
3. TCU
4. Ohio State

It is possible LSU and Clemson could be flipped. I think we're the two best teams right now. If they put a 1-loss team in there, it will be Notre Dame instead of Ohio State.

I would agree that its STRONGLY possible they're flipped. I'd be delightfully surprised though if LSU was #1

I think Clemson gets #1 spot.

basically your 4 with Clemson and LSU flipped is my guess.

Doesn't matter. LSU will be #1 if we win Saturday and stay at #1 unless a L occurs.

must be nice to be 18 years old again. Who cares what it is tonight. The comm won't even put the teams they think will ultimately be in there. Last year, I think 3 of the actual playoff teams weren't in the initial release. Tonight means nothing. I don't know why you kids keep making a big deal out of it. If we win, we will be in...if we don't..then we won't....not hard to understand.

1. Ohio State (Defending Champs)
2. Clemson (Most impressive resume thus far)
3. LSU (Remaining schedule will boost resume)
4. Michigan State (Resume better than any BIG12 school)

I agree with the top 4 teams, but I would guess:

1. Clemson
2. LSU
3. Ohio State
4. TCU

Ohio State (Defending Champs)

If that's their reasoning for ranking Ohio State number one then I lose all faith in the committee.

LOL. Mighty Notre Dame huh? Is that what makes you say this?

LOL...as if they need to boost their resume.

LOL...good god man...they have a pathetic resume and to top it off...they have barely beaten a lot of those teams....and they won a game literally by a fluke play.

2 Big 10 teams....LMAO.....

Actually, you're right. That's how I would put it, but last year they didn't have Florida State #1 and they were in the same situation as Ohio State.

Since when does the committee give a care about what a team did last year? I would not be surprised at all to see Ohio State left out of top 4. They left FSU out last year.

1. Clemson
2. LSU
3. TCU
4. Baylor

Would not be surprised to see Oklahoma State ranked higher than Ohio State.

I agree, but can't put a PAC 12 team in there..and the BIG 12 undefeated teams haven't beaten anybody yet. Michigan State beat Oregon and Michigan. Although not by much and should have lost one, still better than any BIG 12 school so far.

Yes, I stand corrected. I would rank them #1, the committee on the other hand wouldn't based off of their rankings from last year.

The question is do they rank based on if the season finished today who would go or do they consider future games in their decision.

I could see two undefeated conference teams in the top 4 now who will drop out when they play eachother

Ex: lsu Bama, TCU Baylor, Ohio state Michigan state
