I say... to start

1 - Quarterman
2 - Hornsby
3 - Epps
4 - Simmons
5 - Malone

Johnny Jones likes to start a center, even if he doesn't play most of the game.

So after the first timeout...

1 - Patterson
2 - Hornsby
3 - Quarterman
4 - Epps
5 - Simmons

No way. Epps isn't putting Blakeney and Sampson on the bench and JP might have to wait until next year for big playing time.

There is no way Sampson is more athletic than blakenly. Dude has like 44 inch vert. Also in highschool Sampson was extremely streaky shooter.

Gray is perfect for 2nd team duty cause they will need someone to initiate the play

Hornsby will start, but will come out first, whereas to lend his leadership with 2nd unit

Quarterman , Patterson
Blakeney, Sampson
Hornsby, Sampson
Simmons, Epps
Victor, Epps

2nd team

Gray
Patterson
Sampson, Hornsby, Blankeny
Epps, Bridgewater
Malone, Elbert

Say what you want but I have not seen numbers of a 44 inch vert. And as I said and tried to make clear....I am not talking about one guy with a 50 inch vert and the other with a 20 inch vert. Very similar but from my eye Sampson is more athletic. And as to the shooting....yes Sampson had times when he was, but did you see every game? Also he shot about 500 shots a day between his last game and his arrival at LSU. He always had great form and now his work plus the technique he always had has come together.

Whether we agree or disagree about this small thing, we all will see some great basketball again.

The real question in my mind is how the guard minutes shake out

If you say we will play with 3 guards on the floor most of the game that gives us 120 minutes to spread over TQ, Tone, Sampson, Hornsby, Gray, Patterson.

The way I see it:
Quarterman - 31
Hornsby - 24
Blakeney - 22
Sampson - 18
Patterson - 18
Gray - 12

That leaves us with about 5 minutes to be playing with 4 guards, which is probably realistic considering the depth and size we have in the backcourt.

While I'm at it, I might as well take a stab at the frontcourt. I'll say that the remaining 75 minutes break down like this:
Simmons - 33
Victor - 25
Epps - 9
Malone - 5
Bridgewater - 2
Robinson - 1

Of course this is just guesswork at the moment, but I think with Victor in Malone takes on a seriously reduced role. If you take out Victor the front court would be more like Simmons 35/Epps 18/Malone 16/Bridgewater 6/Robinson 3

Needed Humphries. Kentucky got him instead which is completely moronic cause jonny didn't recruit him.

It's not like he's going against 6'10 NBA forwards each week. We'll have trouble defending true centers, but then agian, how many of those will we even play?

This...the game is trending away from true post players so to me that's not a huge concern.

However, you still have to board and have someone who can provide rim protection against folks driving to the hole. That's where someone like Victor stepping up is to me critical to getting the most out of the opportunity we have with Simmons et al in this one year window.

There is a picture somewhere that shows the verts for the freshman. I can't find it, but I remember the results.

Blakeney - 45"
Sampson - 43.5"
Simmons - 41"

If we have the luxury of having a player of Blakeney's caliber off the bench, then that just means we are very fortunate.
