pre-season hate on LSU & Les

media bias shows up and many have hate or should I say
lack of respect for LSU and CLM. I expect it and laugh at it.
This board has some dislike for coach but less I think than
general fandom in BR. I'm on my Iphone so very limited but
being at beach up early thinking about one more great LSU
season is exciting. It is going to be tough to beat LSU this
year. Big D great running game and enough passing.
Smells like 2011 - the talking heads mean nothing and LSU
will be # 6 in the country after we beat Auburn in a tight game

The whole season's storyline will be told in weeks two and three. I expect we get revenge on Starkville. Dak is an impact player, but they're just too depleted on the lines. Auburn is our measuring stick. Not that all is lost if we lose this game, but we'll definitely see what kind of team we're fielding this year. Obviously all hinges on QB, but there is definite worry on the D Line. We got destroyed last year without solid D Line play.

Week 3 is the key to the season, IMO. We could be 3-0, 2,1, or 1-2 after week 3.
3-0 and 2-1 are ok, but 1-2 after week 3 will make for an interesting rest of the year on the Rant.

If we start the season 1-2, we really are staring at an 8-4 season. There is no excuse for losing to State this year.

The media is no worse that the posters on here. Many, including myself, have doubts about Les being able to turn this thing around.

I do love this site's ability to dog any preseason lsu football or les miles criticism but once the season starts very few dog the criticism

agree about Auburn
I think LB play is key to beating or should I say slowing
Auburn. I like our style with great D beating those guys - Gus
is amazing but the core of what he does is open running lanes.

Typical victim mentality by our fan base. I guess you think the media should just proclaim LSU a top ten team and the favorite to win the SEC just because.

I don't get all these threads whining about media perception of LSU. I mean for frick's sake, our QB situation was one of the most well known train wrecks at the position....PERIOD.
Maybe LSU will prove skeptics wrong and maybe they'll figure out the QB position but damn people, let's not pretend that other than one anomaly year, LSU hasn't been a shite of a passing offense for as long as pretty much any sportswriter can remember.
No one writing today gives a shite about the JR and MF years and ZM is a blip on an otherwise catastrophic radar.
We want the media to stop this shite? There is ONE cure.

If you post optimism on the rant, you will be labeled a pumper and all rays of hope will be shredded into oblivion. Then the cool kids will say they are being realistic. (lulz) One thing our fan base loves to do and that is hate on LSU.
