Personally I’m really excited the watch the OL. For the first time in a long time we have some serious talent AND legit coaching. Lots of returning starters with two legit OTs. No more guards playing tackle.

You win in the trenches, and LSU’s OL will be one of the best in the country this year.

QB, QB & QB.

If good all else will fall into place nicely...

I'd love to see Emery Jones slide into guard spot by end of season if Zalance is ready to play RT. I think Jones is more of a natural guard like La'el Collins is in my opinion. Also Marlon Martinez may be good for us as next-man-up.

Interested to see DB's performance, but excited to see the trench play (OL/DL) most of all.

In an unexpected surprise, the elite upfront group will result in the DB's grabbing the headlines.

yep.

Most interested in DBs. Talent is there. Will the right people be put in the right positions? How quickly can they gel as a unit?

Honorable mention - OL - Martinez...played well vs. purdue. is he taking Turner's spot? And what he said...Jones and Heard.

Im most interested in the secondary and how that shapes up. We have a ton of guys that should be good but none that are proven at LSU.

But I am also excited to see Harold Perkins wreck shop.

RB and WR. I think the RB room will be a strength by the end of year, just waiting to see who establishes themselves. WR because this maybe the deepest group on the team and will be fun watching these guys fight for playing time.

With Lunsford (Transfer from Maryland) and Heard in, lots of options.

You never know how a true freshman will react on the OL though. Some pick up the "Reads and Assignments" quickly and some don't. (Campbell was one that DID) We'll have to wait an see if Heard can "Get It" quickly.

Lunsford is an experienced "Been There-Done That" OL. He'll "Get It" at either Guard or Tackle.

This experienced OL should provide superior enough run blocking now so that Kaleb Jackson and Trey Holly can be let loose. (JD5 should not have to carry the "Running" burden)......

Is this a shiny hook?

I am not saying that those 2 are not capable of winning the job but we did just take a RB to media days that wasn't either one of them. We also have 3 other vets coming back who all proved capable and we added a very capable RB from the transfer portal.

Sure injuries happen and they will eventually get their chance but I have a hard time picturing 2 true freshman that aren't Fournette type recruits beating out 5 vets in front of them.
