PM has always said LSU loves that ball park; he's referring to the tournament, but LSU has good vibes at Hoover.

It is about 50 miles from Alabama's campus to the Hoover Met…that has to suck playing all of your home games that far from home.

Can you imagine if LSU played all of their games in Hammond?

No, and I don't want to.

Well its the closest serviceable field to them that's available and in the metro area that has the majority of their fanbase.

Which is exactly why it is a travesty that the SEC Tournament is played there every year. This season it is literally their home field.

Announcers for one of the games said the fences at Hoover were moved 5 feet?
That seems like kind of a waste of time hunh?
Something about they wanted the field to be the same size as TD Ameritrade.

So, does that translate to 'try and eliminate our opponents from hitting any home runs'??

with the crowds they have had they could have played at some HS around Holt or Cottondale.

Hoover was actually bigger than TD crap ballpark, but the ball carried much better there.
Fences were moved IN 5 feet, which seems like a waste of time.
Either leave them, or move them 10 or so.

Personally I don't mind a bigger ballpark if the ball carries ok.
TD Ameritrade is junk.

Only about 15 mins from my house. A very serviceable stadium. Not as nice as Regions field, but beggars can't be choosers.

And IMHO, a shame with how it's impacted the CWS. Or maybe I should include, "compared to the old JRS."
