Was out at the Ponderosa this evening. Coach O had the D-Line still going at strong til almost 7pm. Players are very excited about the defense....and not just the defensive guys....was getting good feedback from others. Was told the general feeling amongst players is a greater sense of urgency in camp....more intensity.

I'm like the rest of the world and very focused on the QB race and the opportunity Fornette has to light up college football.....but hearing thus kinda talk from players really has me pumped to watch some great D.

I think they will be on par with the 4 year cycle of defenses we have had here in 03,07, and 11... Its just something about this group that has that special feel about them, they just need to be in the right positions to make it happen, good coaching is key to a championship run this season.

They could end up being one of our best defenses ever.

Stop posting times that the team was practicing. The time that they can spend is limited and that may cause problems down the road.

The d-line was working without coaches and still amped up from practice. Good to see them working hard in their off time.

Agree that to be cautious, let's not post those practice times--not sure if big brother or an SEC tattle tailing opponent might be searching for something.

I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but geez guys, can we let this coaching staff coach a few games before we anoint them as the best in college football.

Unfortunately I agree with this. We have some playmakers on D but are we all just going to ignore how thin we are in key areas?. I'm still not sure how we are going to handle a good O line with some depth. I see us being tough to deal with over the next few years but would anyone really be surprised if our d line gets pushed around? Just not sure we have enough horses. That will change but not this season
