Agree. It trivializes the unique LSU atmosphere....that, and fans departing at half.

Tiger Stadium is not special these days

Define "most" fans - you mean the contingent on TRant? I'm sure they represent most fans.

From a band dad (not LSU) USM has a damn fine band and band program. Dr. John Wooten is one of the greatest percussion teachers in the country. He was best friends with Marty Hurley who was simply the best.

Sorry to interrupt.

the vast majority of people in tiger stadium during a game.

they definitely do not, and that is why there is so much delusion here.

i'm not saying this is how I feel, fwiw. it is just the way it is.

I agree... the USM game was the first I had been to since the 2014 season, and what a difference. Frankly it sucked ! I'm not saying they shouldn't play any piped in music, but damn that was entirely to much. Let the band play more. Seemed like every now and then, it looked like the band was about to get cranked up, but the piped in music would start and the band wouldn't play. Tone it down some is all I'm saying.

Neck always pumped up the crowd, but they don't play it anyone because the student section screams "suck that tiger dick, bitch". They don't play "owwweeeeooo" after touchdowns because the student section yells "you suck"..

Those two always got the crowd pumped up... So I wish they would consider playing them again.. At least give it another go for an upcoming home game.

What is played in the stadium seems to be on par with what is played in stadiums all around the country, which makes things feel generic.

Let me ask this since I haven't been to a game in years. Is the band still playing on 3rd down stops, 1st downs or are they piping music in for all of that?

That is what I loved so much about the games there was there was a crowd/Band cheer for almost all situations.

Unlike that stupid Boomer Sooner that gets played for 3rd down stops, 1st downs, TD's, interceptions, and whatever else they can think of to play Boomer Sooner.
