I got a text late last night from a buddy whose father goes to games with Joe Alleva. This is what he's telling me. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Arizona is hugely mormon. If they don't want it in NOLA cause it would be a home game for us, we don't need it to be in Phoenix either.

Brigham Young himself could come back from the dead to attend the game and it wouldn't matter.

LSU should handily beat BYU on any field, anywhere.

It's not up to BYU or LSU. It's up to ESPN.

Phoenix and Nashville were the the two contingency cities.

If they want fans in the seats they will head to New Orleans

Otherwise they will be lucky to play in front of about 25000 fans in Phoenix if that

Butts in seats aren't the major concern

anyone else thinking how crazy it would be if Coach O's first full season starts out displaced in AZ because of a hurricane?

Doesn't that scenario sound familiar?

Neither is a particularly attractive option.

It's going to be like 110 in the shade in Phoenix on Saturday. Although at least it's an indoor stadium.

Nashville will be about 80 on Saturday, but raining. And that's an outdoor stadium.

Until a fake punt happens in our own territory...meh.

ESPN and the Advocare group putting this game on. I wish people would realize the two schools don't have too much say in this

Both make sense from a production value. Have to figure ESPN already has assets allocated around the country for other broadcasts and NRG has a lot of in house production assets so they maybe looking at a place that could provide those resources they already planned on. Most campus sites have to have that stuff brought in while NFL sites have a lot of it on site.

I don't see Phoenix being an option. It would be difficult to get our equipment trailers out there

Just spent the past weekend there. Great city and region to visit (nice hiking, geography, weather) and watch a game....but rain would be a bummer.
