What people forget about LSU's offense in 2011 is it was one of the most efficient in the country. Saying this offense already is way better than 2011 is definitely again, hyperbole. I

This offense is waaaay more talented than coming into 2015 than the offense coming into 2011was, and it's not hyperbole. It's funny that you can't discern just how bad we were looking on offense prior to 2011.

There is very little room for a true freshman to come in and dominate really, outside of backup RB, because LSU is loaded everywhere on offense. Beckham doing what he did was necessary to 2011. Johnson, Dillon and Ferguson can all redshirt and we'd still have plenty of weapons at WR.

Even at QB???? This team does not have the experience that the 2011 offense had coming into the season... You are using what happened last year on offense as a barometer??????????? That's crazy.........

CB1 - Mathieu is clearly better than whomever gets the spot (Paris)
CB2 - even between Mo and Tre (don't argue. You'll just look stupid in two years)
S1 - even between Reid and Adams
S2 - edge to Mills over Taylor
LB1 - even Louis and Baker (lot's of ijits don't realize how good Louis is)
MLB - edge to Beckwith over a very good Minter Much more than an "edge". Minter didn't do anything prior to 2011. Minter's 2011 season was similar to Beckwith's 2014, yet Beckwith had statically a better season with a worse DL.
LB2 - solid advantage for Debo over Hatcher
DT1 - Brockers is a huge advantage over a solid Lacouture Brockers doesn't have a damn advantage over LaCouture "yet". Brockers didn't even do much of anything as a backup in 2010. As far as we know, Lac could blow up similar to Brockers
DT2 - Logan and Godchaux are about even Logan played in all of 3 games prior to 2011 so HELL NAW
DE1 - Bower and Sam are even going into the season, I agree, but we'll see about his career. ( most overrate Sam, and almost everyone is underrating Bower)bullshite on overrating Sam. Not only was he a great pass rusher, but he collapsed the pocket which made the QB run right into a waiting Mingo or other player. He was a top 10 pick if the injury didn't make him lose so much speed (the guy was just dominant)
DE 2 - Mingo has a huge advantage over whomever we start Mingo had 5.5 TFL and 2.5 sacks in 2010, the only advantage he has is speed

While you are on point with some of your stuff, the other part is you looking at what they accomplished 2011 and beyond instead of what they accomplished before the season started.

Show me the experience 2011 had coming in on offense compared to 2015 has, position by position, and we'll see exactly how it matches up. I already said outside of QB experience, coming into the season, this 2015 team beats the 2011 one by experience and talent.

I don't need to do that..... Better QB play and more experienced offensive players is all I need to see... BUT I am getting the feeling that YOU think this team will be better than the 2011 team... If you think this years team dominates the schedule like 2011 team did you need professional help... This team will not be that good.....It may squeeze out 9 wins... YES the QB play is THAT important and I am telling you for the 100th time that Miles WILL start AJ when he comes back no matter how good Harris may do... AND If AJ is allowed to play game one, HE WILL START. So there ya go....

If LSU gets by Auburn and Miss St, they will be undefeated when they play auburn. The scheduled lays out pretty nice for them.

Ok. But they have a starting 5 of 4 jr's and one senior... They have been in the program long enough to be effective....Their defense is full of jr's and seniors... Upperclassman... three of their top four rushers are back, their top two wr's... They have not lost as much as most are saying... Losing starters makes a difference but with a ton of upperclassman coming back they are still dangerous........ This will NOT be an easy game for the Tigers .Esp with whatever qb we throw at them....

I don't know what Magazine you are reading but pretty much every thing you said is wrong......par for the course

Mississippi State returns the fewest starters in the SEC 4 on Offense and 3 on defense........they are going to be shitty

Dak will score them some points and make some plays but has nobody to throw too, and they don't have anybody to tackle and cover.

You mean the same QBs who both had experience but couldn't muster more that 9 passing TDs? The QBs that had less than 2000 yards passing, less than 7.0 ypa, 57% completion, and 11 ints even though they EACH had at least 8 previous starts prior to that disastrous 2010 QB play? Any experience Toliver and Shepard had is easily squashed by the talent, depth, and experience of Diarse, Dural, Dupre, and Quinn. Fournette's talent AND experience far exceeds any back coming into that season. Williams is on par, stats wise, with their number 2 RB and he was the number 4 RB last year. The TE position has Gordon, Smith, and Jeter with years of experience between them. We have 3 returning starting OL. just like we did in 2011.

BUT I am getting the feeling that YOU think this team will be better than the 2011 team...

I said the team will be 10-2 and I stick by that, so what? I said the 2015 offense has much more talent coming in than the 2011 offense did and you can quote me, bookmark me, print it out and laminate it, carve it in a tree, etch it in stone, and build a shrine to it, IDGAF!

quote:

Seems like you are the only one that said that boyo. You sure do love to put words into people's mouths don't you?

However I will say the 2011 defense came out of nowhere. Brockers, Logan, Minter, Mingo, Montgomery, Brooks and Taylor did really nothing prior to that. Also Reid didn't break out until the 2011 season, and Claiborne had really only started one year prior, and didn't play much at all as a true freshman. Now I'm not saying we have a Mathieu, nor am I saying these kids will show up out of nowhere like those guys mentioned above did, but the possibility of the defense improving from last year is certainly there.

I won't even get into this nonsense.

Let the idiots fall for this nonsense. It will be similar to what happened to TAMU in 2013. Dak will put up a lot of yards and points, but they do not have the experience, nor the defense period (did you see their pass defense last year, AND they lost their DC), to be close to what they were last year.

The run game is not a given in game 2 either nor is the OL bringing back what, one or two starters????

Let's not forget, We were Miss St's whipping dog last year. With Dak back, we can't look past this 1st SEC game.

I really dislike PS, I'd like to kick him in the balls. That said, it seems to me he's often on the mark in his comments, especially-- --about LSU. So I'm glad to hear he thinks Harris will work out. May his prophecy prove true.

You really have mental issues... We don't know how good this year wr's are gonna be... We def can't go by what happened last ear with hat stellar qb AJ at the helm............

starts prior to that disastrous 2010 QB play?

But that team went 11-2..... Gee there must be something MORE to quality qb play besides stats...........

I will...Cause it doesn't............

Not really... YOU said that this years offense is WAY better han the one that came into 2011.. So that's makes it sound like this years team will be way better than the 2011 eam... AGAIN you say this offense will be better and has a softer schedule... So why say 10-2?????? Why not 12-0 like the 2011 team???? You are talking out of both sides of your mouth......

This, and it's by a landslide. I'm not sure how he/she stays on this site. It's unreal that Admins let this pathetic dumbass stay on here and spew his negativity and lack of knowledge. I used to think that he was a She....based on the writing style and the constant capitalizing of certain words in a sentence to stress a point. I'm still not sure if he/she is a complete troll or is just that dumb. Also, I'm not ruling out that this isn't GG...based upon the constant negativity.
