If Harris can make the right reads, calmly make decisions, and deliver the ball accurately, that play alone could give defenses fits all year.

They should have gone split a long time ago but the blocking has usually been poor for that particular formation.

They need to go:

X XXXOXX X

With Fournette right and Guice left. Dupre and Dural wide, Jeter at TE

Run zone read option all day until they stop you.

I would pee my pants in excitement if LSU finally did open up the offense and used ingenuity to upgrade...I just don't see it happening. A tiger (les) doesn't change his stripes (no pun intended)

They have teams that almost exclusively run that formation for whole games.

Unfortunately, we see it for a drive or 2 and if it doesn't score a TD, we don't see it again for the rest of the year.

if true the fact that the coaches have given Harris the capability of making these decisions means Harris has made a huge jump this offseason.

That said, I wonder how much of an impact Aranda has had on our offensive coaches? If not directly, t seems like his seemingly more intellectual approach would have to rub off a little, no?

I would think he's probably already blown up our whole offensive playbook. Hopefully they've adapted

I think Aranda also discovered the cure for the Zika virus.

Good grief, you really think our OC changes his offensive scheme and strategy because of what OUR DEFENSE is doing?!?!?

LSU will play 12+ games this year, and not a single down will be played against LSU's defense.

The OC's job is to design an offense that works against our OPPONENT'S defenses, not ours. Now sure, if our defense simulates our opponent's D in practice, we can see what works. But come on, guys. Enough already.

This just made me so moist. I really do hope they run this scheme more. They can both catch out of backfield and be used in the screen game. This will keep defenses on their heels more instead of playing 8 near the box all of the time.

Almost a vintage 1970's Cowboys Wing-T! Wow. Really creative!

I just said this exact play yesterday. It would work well and looking back at last years auburn game I like what we did in that game idk why we got away from all the creativity we had in that game.

Aranda coaches defenses to attack based upon what the offense is showing. This is what DCs do! Its not that far fetched to think his expertise can be used to help our offense out by coming up with ways that disguise those things that defenses pick up on.

My post was actually tongue in cheek, BUT! You dont think the defensive coaches attack the offensive gameplan before they role it out?

They've said multiple times that that is part of game prep. And having a mind like Arandas in the coaches room can only help.

It was also after we put up like 10 videos of Guice housing swing passes in practice. Befor out there and they were looking for it.

What about a play where you fake the handout right then cut back left?

This was the unnamed playbook found in the ditch behind the football ops building right?
