I think so too. I believe an Easter w/e. Played in Lexington and it seemed like they hit 4-5 hr's every game.

We scored plenty of runs to win.... It's not the hitting, more the pitchers we had compared to theirs. We would have to be hot at the plate to beat a team like Vandy 2/3 now if our pitchers get better as the season wears on which they can, and hitting gets hot at the right time we can beat anyone. Top 8 or top 5 team still IMO. If we had another Nola we win 2/3 period. They do we didn't. Taking one from them away isn't shabby. And Poche should get better as the season goes. Hitting will get better as the season creeps along. Conclusion we fine....... Will we win it all..... Prob not, can we absolutely. I think we will win it in the next couple years though. Need to pick up 2 more big time pitchers and we will have an unbelievable staff!!

Yes. AS of March 16th, we do not have a pitching staff that can win the whole thing in Omaha. We will see how that progresses along come May and June.
Having another Nola type pitcher would change my outlook. Maybe someone steps up when we play the big boys in June.

Unless you have a staff like UCLA had last year, 10 runs in 3 games will not get you far.
Next couple SEC series will tell a lot more about this team.

My conclusion is PM had better start recruiting some bigger and stronger kids.I realize it's a different game now but LSU looks like a JV squad compared to Vandy.

Like I said last night, it would have been great not to have had to start the SEC slate against a team like Vandy. Two brand new weekend starters would have benefitted from some SEC experience before being tossed into the fire. That being said, #rakecity needs to show up a bit more consistently.

Especially considering how powerful UCLA was at the plate.
This is no longer an offensive game. The powers have stripped it down to pitching and defense and we will be fine.

Corbin just kept running guy after guy out there with almost nonexistent ERAs.
At this point in the season, Vandy is the better team than we are. That said, there's a lot of baseball still to be played, and a lot can and will happen.

Literally no one on the rant is capable of having a discussion. If you have a concern or point out a flaw, then you're bashing LSU and are a negatiger. If you don't agree with a flaw or concern, you're a pumper or koolaid drinker.

I like this team a lot. 1/3 is better than 0/3. To me CPM, claims UCLA style of baseball can't win in the SEC, that LSU fans wouldn't support it.
To me, it seems the personnel on this team fits more to the style he Does Not want to play.
