You have obviously never tried to listen to the game on a smart phone while at the game. For one, its really hard to get a connection and when you do get a connection, you can't stream 98.1 bc geauxzone has the rights to LSU sports broadcasts, so you have to pay for geaux zone. Also, the geauxzone is delayed by about a minute so you are seeing the plays happen then hearin ab them one minute later. Radio is the only way to listen to games while at the games

As far as the "shitty am commentators" remark, that's about as ignorant as it gets. Aren't the listeners tuning into an FM station?

Not into headphones so much but I miss the transistors or other radios people used to bring into games years ago...I didn't want to be encumbered by bringing in a radio in myself but liked being able to hear the play by play from some guy sitting near me.

Btw they have $20 mp3 players at Walmart that are the size of a car key fob that pick up fm great. One of those and iPhone earbuds are the way to go
