I love everything about this post because its a free country and you can do as you please with your tickets. If you have a problem with that....then that's fine as well because this is America and no one will put you in a gulag for it.

I'm pretty sure I beat traffic last night by actually staying the whole game

But really, I get it. I get both sides of the argument. You can't really expect the crowd, or the team for that matter to stay pumped at full force for the whole game, especially after we took a 28-0 lead very early.

However, I was pissed at our crowd last year against Ole Miss. It was a tight game to the end and folks emptied out after the third quarter. Leave early if you want for a shitty OOC game when we're up by 28, but you stay in the stadium for the entire SEC game unless we have some extraordinary lead.

Players have been quoted as saying they like when fans empty out early, it usually means they're kicking arse and the other team has no chance of a comeback. It's the fans who leave early from a good game that are the disgrace.

We get it; you like traffic free roads and laying around the house more than football.

People who actually like football would pick watching their favorite football team dominate anyone over being a lazy guy on a Saturday night, but you aren't one of them. It is what it is, you don't have to defend the fact that you treat LSU football like a social event.

i just dont understand why even go in the first place if you cant handle staying longer than an hour and half. if worried about traffic just save yourself the trouble and watch from home

and how big of a football fan are you that for the first game of the year, for supposedly your favorite team, you dont care to watch more than one half?

just makes no sense but i agree it's your own life and you can do whatever the frick you want to do

But yeah on one hand I couldn't imagine driving all the way from Shreveport or the like for the game just to leave early. Make the most of it and book a hotel or something.

Before I enrolled, I lived in Lake Charles and HATED when Dad made us leave early from shitty games. I didn't care if the game was shitty, we were there and we only went once a year.

ETA: and my dad left early from 2012 Ole Miss, missed the punt return and the finish. Still give him shite about it and always will

I definitely do this since I make it to one a year and its nice to see old friends. Then I leave early (usually mid 4th) to beat traffic if we have a good lead.

Easy killer... no one probably ever says something to you directly so get over yourself..... Plus I left early as well b/c after ODB ran back the missed field goal I figured nothing else that remarkable would happen..
No one truly gives two flying shits who leaves early .

I stay as long as the players are on the field.

I hear people complain when they feel that the team didn't give 100%.

I expect no more from them than I am able to give in my own way. I stay for 100% of the game..

If it is inconvenient for you to do the same then give up your tickets to someone who will.

And I am we'll over 25 and pay for my own tickets and where
I have to return after the game is irrelevant.

It is truly embarrassing to watch the replay with the stands empty toward the end of the game.

STFU Slippy. I remember your tired schtick from TOS. Don't bring that shite over here. I'm over 25, I pay for my own tickets, I drive further than you, and I never leave a game early.

Most of you don't have to drive back to New Orleans or Lake Charles or Shreveport after the game. I do. Want me to not leave early? Stop playing the UAB's of the world. If you want to play the UAB's of the world, fine, but don't get pissed if I leave early. I will stay to the bitter end for a competitive game, cheering my arse off, as will just about everybody else. I have been stuck in traffic and moved a half mile in 90 minutes after a big game. I don't care to do it after UAB, and neither does any other sane person

I switched some words around:

No sane persons drives from Lake Charles or Shreveport for two quarters of football.

What cracks me up is some of these jacklegs deciding that they have the right to define who is a good fan and who is not. Some people are paying babysitters. Some people might have to be at work early. Some people might have physical problems with heat. So should these folks decide not to attend a game if there is a chance they might leave early?

I have been going to LSU games all my life.... a lot longer than some of you dickheads. I have stayed to the bitter end for 95% of those games (including Ole Miss last year, btw). I just find it retarded that some of you people have dubbed yourselves the arbiters of what real fandom means.

I sit near an old couple. They went to school at LSU in the 50's. They leave early every week. Why? Because they're old. But you're right... they are horrible Tiger fans.

Staying for a big game becuase it's close, but leaving early because the Tigers are up makes you a shitty fan. Sorry bro.
