Paul Manieri and throwing college kids under the bus

Continuing to throw college kids under the bus will be this guy's legacy. Even in the interview between innings, he blasted Foster and Person. Prior to game he was making excuses for lack of pitching depth with the injury to Latz and Marshall's transfer. I have never once heard this guy accept responsibility for anything except winning a national title in 2009.

One time he admitted that he got lazy after the 2009 title. Literally the only time he's ever taken responsibility for anything, and it still makes him look like shite.
Based on his answer about pulling Norman, he's either woefully stupid or a flat out liar who thinks we're all stupid.

a common theme from today's "stars"
Success is due to them.
Failure is due to anyone else.

Bottom line he is a pudding pop (I'd rather use another term but kids may be reading).
He folds under pressure, doesn't take responsibility for his decisions like he should, and is overall a pretty average coach IMO. Say what you want about Miles (and God knows I have) no one can claim that he is a pansy.
He has benefitted greatly from a wealth of talent on the field and in the coaches that are under him during his time here.

Yep I remember this and recruiting got better after a down season.

What did he say about pulling Norman? I've been trying to avoid all the postgame stuff but that was easily the most mind blowing decision of the night to me.

Said Norman faced the bottom of the order so it was time to get him out of there and get Stallings in. Norman either faced 9-1-2 or 1-2-3.

Basically said Norman really didn't do shite and Stallings was a better option against the real men.

Its a hard one.. Putting in Godfrey with that umps strikezone with a runner in 2nd and 3rd I would argue was worse. But it was pretty comical.

Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't Norman K Jones their leadoff guy and best hitter?

Yeah, he would never throw a player under the bus.

With as many times as we've gone wholestaff this year, you would think he'd know which pitchers are better coming in mid inning and which should start an inning.

In the game thread... the joke was that Norman would be pulled. Everyone was being sarcastic. The Boat said the only pitcher Norman should be pulled for is Bugg and not until he got in trouble. I joked and said PM would put in Stallings. I meant it as a joke... an insult.
I shouldn't have been shocked when it actually happened, but I was.

Yeah pulling Norman was completely stupid.

What he said about Norman is indefensible and untrue. He owes the kid an apology. What an arrogant asshat he is.

I'm just going to point out that ronnieone is one of the several Smoke Laval lovers out there. That's where he's coming from.
