PM is not on the hot seat at all. He is sitting on ice as far as that goes. He is not going to be fired based on what his teams typically do, i.e. top 4 in SEC, hosting a Regional, play in a Super Regional. If we were to go two straight years NOT doing these things, PM would be on the hot seat. But, if history means anything, there is no way we are going to miss the NCAA 2 years in a row.
Let's just win our SEC series from here on out.

So Poche is our Ace? Or Beck? Singer is UF's Ace then right? Not the probable #1 overall pick?
I would say that Poche is our Ace this year...based on his performance.
Beck isn't part of the equation due to zero starts and limited innings pitched.
Singer and Faedo are so close in ERA it is almost negligible... but I put no bearing on who is likely a high draft pick, when it comes to who has been pitching the best for you.

Nope just couldn't think of another reason why you would ignore facts, or have no basis for your argument, so I assumed you were blinded because your were furious that we lost.

Well, that's a silly assumption on your part.
Not everyone who refuses to rationalize the poor performance of this team is Dr. Bruce Banner waiting to turn into The Hulk, you know.

I wonder when folks are going to realize that college baseball has far more parity than college football or hoops.

I'm sorry, I just don't fricking believe that.
Well then, you haven't been paying attention.
The very nature of the game of baseball lends itself to parity, for starters. When you include the crazy scholarship restrictions and dumbed-down bats, you're going to have quite a bit of parity.

So if you choose to ignore facts what DO you base your opinion on?

What I've seen thus far and past performance.
BTW, your contention that Tulane threw their ace last night doesn't exactly help your argument any. I'll let you figure out why, if you're able.

Nah... I prefer to let people explain to me why they think I'm wrong.

Fans want the trifecta of 3 coaches in 1 season so SOMEBODY HAS TO GO. How's the tennis team doing? Lol

Holy shite! He may have more job security at LSU than any of the big 3 coaches. His contract runs through 2024 and he just received a 50% raise last season.
Apparently Hellen Keller is in charge of contract negotiations at LSU

CPM is not going anywhere and neither is the baseball team in the postseason.
Posted on 3/29/17 at 12:34 pm to karralum
then you have morons on the opposite end of the spectrum that defend coaches like Johnny Jones

Mainieri will never be fired from LSU. Let's not pretend he will. If he has a couple of bad years, he will retire. He may even be asked to leave behind close doors where he will retire to the media. But you will never see a headline saying Coach Mainieri fired from LSU.

The fact is that there are just a lot of really dumb LSU baseball "fans" who expect LSU to win every game, make it to Omaha every year, and win the national title every year too. LSU arguably has the most impressive resume of any team in the country over the past 5 seasons (not even counting the national championship that he won here before that). Sure, the idiots will say "yeah, but how has he done in the postseason???" but that just shows how dumb they are, to act like it's that simple and easy. They completely overlook how difficult it is to earn a top 8 national seed in 5 consecutive years. The postseason in baseball is a complete crapshoot. Meanwhile, all of these teams and coaches that they would prefer haven't had any more consistent success in the postseason themselves. Florida has had the most talented team almost every season and hasn't won a title. Vanderbilt has been loaded with first round draft picks and has won 1 title and had several disappointing seasons. South Carolina won 2 titles but then dropped off significantly as soon as Ray Tanner moved on. UCLA won a title but hasn't even made the postseason in other years. TCU hasn't won a title despite being one of the favorites every year. LSU baseball "fans" don't want to do any type of objective analysis of our program versus others. They just want to come with their own negative story and convince themselves that it's fact. "He isn't winning a national title 1 out of every 2 years like Skip. He should be fired." Wake up. Nobody else is either.

Can we limit our firings of future Hall of Fame Coaches to 1 per year, please?

I feel the same way about PM I did about Miles.
When you flirt with other schools like Texas and Ark you better deliver and expect criticism.
Just like Miles, PM ought to be on a short leash.
