Now every time I watch or go to a game I am going to make it a point to try and find him. Hope to see him at the box soon.

Thanks for the update. That rehab hospital is very good. There is no doubt they will help your dad.

And hearing that Strall visited your dad brought a lump to my throat. Thanks for posting a photo of that visit.

Are you trying to make plans to get your dad to a game opening weekend? I realize trying to get him up or down stairs would be a challenge but the suites can be accessed via elevator.

I don't know if you've heard but there is a USAF fighter jet flyover scheduled prior to the Sunday game with Air Force, weather permitting of course.

Coach Mainieri told him that whenever he can make it back, he'll have him a spot saved. CPM also told mom to please let him know before dad is going to make his first game because he's "going to make it special". Should be pretty badass. I don't think he'll make it for opening night but I'd like to think that by the end of the season he'll be able to make a couple games.

Did you know that that USAF fighter jet is dropping in the game ball? That's gonna be freakin cool

I didn't hear that. What I was told is that the Army (we play Army on Saturday) parachute team, the Black Knights, will parachute into Alex Box Stadium prior to each game and deliver the ball for each first pitch. But I like your version better!

Coach Mainieri also said that one of his former baseball players when he was the head coach at Air Force is now a two-star general in the Air Force and that general is going to throw the ceremonial first pitch at either the Friday night or Sunday game, I forget which. I just hope the weather cooperates.

A really, really LATE edit: I just learned it's not the Army's Black Knights parachuting into the stadium. It will be the Air Force's version of the Black Knights. They are called the Wings of Blue. And they will drop in before each game on opening weekend.

doclsu08, I've still got that LSU Baseball picture frame if your dad wants it. I can even drop it at the front desk at Sage for him if you'd like. email me: goose11262@yahoo.com

By the way, PM is a new grandfather today. LINKGame balls will be dropped in by paratroopers for each game opening weekend. There will be a fly-over with fighter planes on Sunday.

Strall's girlfriend....she's a regular at the park. Most would even fake an injury to get a visit from her!

Aw man, things have been hectic and I completely forgot about that. I told him about it and he was excited. Would be awesome if you could drop it off at the desk. He's not at Sage though. He's at BR Rehab. It's behind United Plaza off of Essen.

If anyone wants to participate in a Super Bowl board. We're doing some to help raise some money for dad's expenses. $10 a square, pays $125 a quarter if you hit. Numbers are chosen at random once boards are filled and I'll send out pics of boards before the game starts so you can get your numbers. Can pay me on PayPal doclsu08@yahoo.com

Thank you!

Mom sent me this earlier. This was him after his therapy today. Needs a haircut something serious and his beard it crazy from his neck brace. He's trying to make two thumbs up. She said he had a great day today.
