If this team does not know how to throw the ball after falling down 10-14 on somebody ( and it will hAppen this year) should all running game only sunshine pumpers should be banned? this is not the 1930s people . You have to throw the ball more than 100 yards to win multiple big games . ATM . Gumps. Old miss will prove entire board I am 10000000% correct on this

Brandon Harris played against Moo State last year with less than 10 min to go in the game and threw 2 TD passes. We almost won.

The kid now has a year under his belt and he'll only get better. He's doing exactly what he needs to do.

When he needs to pass, he will.

BTW, in the BCSNG in 2007, Matt Flynn passed for somewhere in the neighborhood of 170 yards in that game against tOSU.

Chill.

You're proving his point for him. That's 70% more than we are averaging.

And you're comparing a true soph in his 4th start to a 5th year senior.

It was in the Natl Championship game against the number 1 team in the country.

We've played 3 games. Harris will pass more. Just enjoy the ride.

Which is irrelevant to the issue of whether you need to pass to win, which is the only topic I'm talking about.

You need to pass, yes. To win, that's debatable. But yes, I agree, there needs to be a passing game. Can't be one dimensional, that's a fair statement.

And as far as passing is concerned, which you said is the topic you're referring to, you would agree a 5th year senior has more experience throwing the ball in a collegiate football environment that a true freshman would, correct?

You're right, we need to be able to pass for more yards, if needed. Good thing is its early in the season and Harris isn't a 5th year senior in his final collegiate game.

If you're looking for us to turn into Baylor or something as far as the passing game goes...... Uhhhhh.....

You know what I mean. We're not going to have a huge passing game but we're going to have one. I understand the nervousness regarding the passing game, with last season fresh in everyone's mind, but I feel good about our passing game.

I have no doubt. Keep in mind we're only 3 games in, like I said earlier.

how did you jump to that? He said we need to have over 100 yards passing, in other words, some semblance of a passing game. Seriously, how do infer that he saying we need to be like Baylor from that statement?

Chalk me up as one of those idiots who don't believe that any team will be able to shut down our running game for 4 quarters.

Turnover margin is second most important thing behind the obvious of scoring more points than the other team. To date this team has committed 0! turnovers. If Harris throws for 100 yards 1TD and 0 Ints a game we are a playoff team.

This will be 2011 again in terms of beating the will out of our opponents with the run game.

I believe I said the same thing. I was trying to be funny when I mentioned Baylor, a la an air raid passing team but I guess it went over your head.

I said it myself:

I really wasn't trying to be a jerk. I was just talking. Overreact much?

I don't have a problem with the offense we are running and I'm not ready to assume we fall behind by two touchdowns to anyone. It may happen, it may not.

I just wanted to say that 2007 is a really bad example because IIRC, we passed nearly 500 times that year. Just saying...

When lf7 went out of the game for a series where we really needed to score, BH threw it 2 or 3 times straight and BOOM we were in the end zone. I think TO AN EXTENT CLM is keeping BH's true passing acumen downplayed while still giving him enough to help develop him further BC he knows we r gonna need it later.

The t-shirt fans are in meltdown mode before October this year.

There is no such thing as a running game only sunshine pumper.
