He coached at Minden High back around 2006 time frame. Minden had not had a winning season for several years. That season we finished regular seaso 10-0. Lost to Bastrop to finish the year 13-1. We were excited but wasted no time in following the big money and was gone. He produces wins. He will get a new coaching gig.

I'm weighing in on this......I'm a Parkway grad....active in the booster club....given more than my share of $ to the school.....which has put me in close proximity to this guy. We've talked off and on and I can say unequivocally I've never gotten a bad vibe from the dude...and I dont consider myself a total dolt when it comes to judging character.
Is he politically incorrect and irreverent at times? Sure he is, but then again, I could give less than 2 fricks about PC....I like that side of him.
Some of the tail feathers he's rankled along the way deserved to be rankled...he's looking out for his school and his players. From what I've seen, he's a decent family man dedicated to his craft and his players.
Frick the haters I say....and if there is truth to the Bates guy (principal) being a Bama fan then that should automatically be grounds for dismissal right there anyways.

You are as confused as plaid. Let me summarize it.
1. I have a first degree relative who worked with him (so you can't guess it's me, cause it's not).
2. This first degree relative told me way back when the guy (feaster) had a problem with his mouth.
3. Nobody has an axe to grind. I've never met him and my relative never did anything unethical and has never been called out on anything. I don't know why you keep inserting this into the conversation because it has nothing to do with anything.

Some on this board bitching to no end about LA high school coaches rolling out the red carpet for Saban and crew and have nuclear melts when an LA kid signs with bama. I hate it too. So we finally have a coach that has the sack to tell bama to shove off and takes pride in LSU and people bail on him like rats on a sinking ship. Which way do y'all want it?

Not so much the exploding population in South Bossier. Parkway has benefited from the M & M transfer rule. A minority in the parish can go to any other school in the parish as long as they remain a minority at their new school. Case in point: Brandon Harris lived in the Bossier High School district, but was able to go to Parkway because it is more than 50% white. Many others fit in the same category that play for Parkway.

100% agreed. So many bitch about wanting LSU to "lock down the border" and talk trash about a coach at a high school that was potentially making that happen. I don't care how "smug" he seemed in an interview! If he was turning Bama away, I wish Louisiana high school football had a few hundred just like him.
