Dude, your high!

Mid-tier bowls are ones like the Chicken Bowl, the Sun/Hyundai Bowl or the Gator/Taxslayer Bowl.

Now your gonna come back and say Cap. One/Citrus Bowl and the Cotton Bowl are on the same level....

won at least 2 "major bowls" since 2007.

Name them

"Major bowl" is pretty subjective. I guess if it's not named after a corporation or a product, it's "major" these days.

The Peach Bowl was a mid-tier bowl until this year, when it became a major bowl as part of the playoff rotation. Sun and Gator are lower-tier.

While counting LSU's major bowl wins, it doesn't matter what level the Cap One is. We haven't won it since it was called the Tangerine Bowl in 1979. The Cotton Bowl was a mid-tier bowl for several years until this year, when it became a major bowl as part of the playoff rotation. The Outback was, and remains, a mid-tier bowl.

LSU's only bowl wins since 2007 have been the Peach, Cotton and Outback. None of them are/were major at the time we won them.

They were on the same level, the best of the non-BCS bowls. If the Cap1 and Cotton were major that would put them on the same level as the BCS bowls and we all know that isn't the case.

No, they were the Outback and Cotton Bowls. The Outback has never been a major bowl and the Cotton Bowl was not a major bowl when we won it.

No they're mid tier. If those two are lower-tier what does make the New Orleans or Idaho Potato Bowl?

So what? You want to call them mid-tier, fine. Has nothing to do with the discussion of major bowls.

Actually, the Citrus and maybe Holiday were the best of the non-BCS bowls. Cotton/Peach/Outback were all lumped together at the same level in the SEC selection order.

Seems the one constant is Joe Alleva. Don't hate the coaches. Hate the guy hiring and giving pay raises.

If we are talking about bowls...

Cotton bowl is the best bowl outside the bcs if you ask me. Id like to see the bowl payouts then we can lump the bowls accordingly. I don't think it is as simple as saying upper, middle, lower because there are so many.

I know the 2011 bowl we lost, but we beat the rose bowl and orange bowl champs. And the bcs champs.

Would you guys have been happier with us losing to bama, not winning the sec, but winning the sugar bowl? Would everyone have a diff perception of the football team?
