Their corners are, but it has been reported that the safety they say is coming back, is supposed to move down to play LB. They have returning corners, but no returning starters at safety.

Caputo moving to LB seemed to be experiment-based only. He is back at safety, but will be a hybrid at times (as he was last season). Wisconsin has one returning starter at safety.

Arguably the biggest revelation of the day was found in the secondary, and Mike Caputo's return to safety. He and Leo Musso took first-team reps, while Austin Hudson and Peniel Jean handled the second-team duties. Safeties coach Bill Busch raved about Caputo, who moved back from from field-side linebacker, where he was a starter earlier in spring.

"Mike [Caputo] is back with me," Busch said. "He will be a starter at the safety spot. Mike will be a leader, clearly. He does it on the field with his actions. He also does it verbally and in everything he does. He is definitely our leader."

and a back field that Wisky will never see again all year

Ameer Abdullah (1,690 yards, 9 TDs) and Imani Cross (447 yards, 10 TDs) are both pretty good backs.

From a talent perspective, you're probably right. Nebraska's backs, though, are very, very productive players. Both teams will present a challenge to Wisconsin's front seven.

I think LF may get 100 rushing yards on his first game if they replace their entire front 7

LSU has three backs go over 100 yds en route to a rout.

Scoreboard Forum is littered with "Same Old Miles Offense" threads.

It's called a discussion. I sure all of us thought that we wouldn't lose to Clemson or Ole Miss, but it happened. I believe we could blow them out but also we could lose to them. Right now, we have no idea how good this team could be. There are some who believe that we might lose 3 or 4 games. There are also some who believe we can make the playoffs. That's why it's very interesting to see how well we perform against a top 15 program in the first game.

Are Mingo, Brooks and Mathieu coming back for this game?

Special teams and running game will the be difference maker.

LSU wins by 17.

LF: 13 rushes, 156 yards, 2 TD's.

We can put 9 in the box every play.

Their QB cannot throw it, their WRs are the weakest unit on their team, and our corners are both shutdown guys.

Melvin will get his, but 9 in the box is tough to run on.

Miles is funny about freshman backs. I don't see him getting that many reps in the 1st game.

I just don't see him getting that Many carries so soon. Look at Hill's 1st year he was basically a blocking back until the South Carolina game.

You don't recruit the number one player in the nation and then barely play him. (Unless he isn't putting in the work which won't be the case with LF7) Totally different animal then Hill.

He's saying he's heard the whole "can't replace X, Y, and Z" schtick before. It was wrong then and it's wrong now.

I never said he wouldn't get playing time. just not as much in the 1st game as most on here think he will.

No, that was my point, which contradicted his previous one

13 carries isn't all that much, especially considering how run-heavy we will be.
