Our relationship with Omaha

Could someone explain sort of our almost revered relationship with Omaha? Obviously we go there a bunch but so do schools like Texas and Florida state and a few others. I'm just trying to get a sense of what it's like to go there as an LSU fan for the College World Series.

LSU baseball travels better than almost everyone in the country and we have been there a lot. People in Omaha love us, and there are actually many LSU fans in Omaha. They are very excited to have LSU back again.

They love us because they make a bunch of money when we come to town.

they go crazy for mardi gras beads. they were usefull at the BLATT parking in peoples yards. you didn't have any problems when you gave them beads.

The 90's we were there damn near every year and won half of them. We travel well and feed everyone so after all these years we have become by far the town favorite. If you go this year, you will see. It will be overrun with LSU.

What's funny is that they didn't care for ULL fans all that much.

waiting for the first pic of Barrett's "welcome tigers" signs.

Lot of locals will wear LSU colors. Funny to see that with those accents.

When we went for the '97 series, the morning of the final, there were two young kids in line all in P&G gear. We let them stand in line in front of us while we all waited for tix in the GA section. We figured they were standing in line for their parents and they were from BR. Nope, Omaha kids and huge LSU fans that were just spending their Saturday at the Blatt watching the Tigers win another CWS.
LSU fans absolutely take over Omaha. Glad to hear Barrett's is going to be home base for some of the BR radio shows again. Cool place.

How tight is security at the gate? Could one sneak a flask in?

They caught me (man) with 12 beers in a large purse, but you should have no problem with a flask.
