Sarcasm is not one of your strengths...just like passing isn't for our offense

don't get this negatiger talking point. Do some people honestly believe that miles/Cameron don't want an offense that scores as many touchdowns as is good for the team? I have seen this being tossed around on here the past few weeks, and it is dumb.

a lot of posters on here, positigers of which I am one but do not subscribe to this particular belief, some how believe that run, run, pass punt combined with the other offense we run, the run run run punt offense, is a particularly good offense for our defense and is the only way for LSU to win championships. I don't understand their convoluted logic. They are repulsed by the idea of running a more open modern type NFL offense that 12 of the 14 teams in the SEC run. The exceptions being Texas A&M (with their air raid HUNH offense) and LSU with our 70's 'pro style' offense.

It's designed to give the defense a break

not sure how 3 and outs accomplish that but to each his own. If we opened up the offense and moved the ball we would get more 1st downs and gain an advantage in time of possession. Also scoring points is an important part of an offense that many on here tend to overlook.

Yes, some have said this, but I think the issue here is that you do not understand sarcasm.

Means that the offense does not work. Having the bottom of the barrel at QB results in our being inept at scoring points.

Probably means the offence is designed to eat up clock with ball control, limiting the time the opponent's offence is in possession of the ball.

I think it just means that when we are 1st and 10 from our own 20 there is very little confidence that we will score. Start off at half field and you feel good about a field goal. Get a turnover on their 20 and you get hopeful for a TD.

It also seems that in the first half of games Les Miles seems to have more concern for ramming the ball into other teams' defenses in order to win some war of attrition rather than using misdirection and exploiting the weaknesses of other teams.
