Moved a DB to RB where he hasn't played since high school. Flat out can coach leading #15 Navy by 17!!! Will have the Cougars playing New Year's Day.

Agreed. He's excelled everywhere he's been so far. I would be happy with him. He's kind of a jumper though. That would be my only worry with landing him. I'd like another 10+ years out of the next guy.

all young assistants are jumpers. moving to better schools and positions of responsibility, etc.

As long as Jimbo or Herman is the coach next year, I'll be happy

Either Jimbo Fisher or Chip Kelly would be at LSU for 5+ years, assuming they were successful enough to warrant keeping their jobs.
Tom Herman might be at a major program for 2-3 years and decide he wants to coach at the NFL level.

Herman is ahead coach now so jumping will slow as he finds atop school.

i really want herman because i think he's the next legend in college coaching (i could be wrong of course), but i'd be very happy with either.

Dude impressed the hell out of me on a recent radio interview
He has a masters from UT and is a member of Mensa. How many college coaches can say that? Add that to young and hungry and he will be a household name in the next 5 years

He better bring in a Top Notch DC. Naval Academy throwing all over Houston

He leads Navy by 21.........

I'd rather he picked a different team to look good against.....

I could've sworn everyone was shitting on this guy a couple days ago... Might just be me

Tom will blow up at LSU with the talent we have in our state.

His team passes the eye test very well. If we don't get Jimbo QUICKLY I would grab Herman and not have regrets.

No.
There are/were questions about Herman's relative lack of experience. Otherwise? I think most people like him as the best 'up and coming' coach in the country.
