The OP is correct - knock the shite out of the opponent - legally - and then help him back to his feet and say whatever you want to him with a smile on your face.

Want to really intimidate someone?? bust his chops legally and then attend to any wounds he has in a gentlemanly fashion, help him to his feet and say in a gentle voice = "see you next play."
Want to make a bunch of low IQ thugs jump up and down and scream nonsense? = make an illegal hit, and make fun of the opponent while he is laying on the field injured, and beat your chest and yell vile crap at him. The stupid street animals just love to see that shite.

I guarantee you that a little bit of sportsmanship goes a long way. I've been on both sides of a shlobberknocker. I'm glad none of you have.
I don't have kids old enough to play any sports just yet, but when they are, they will understand the importance of good sportsmanship.
So all you kiddies hiding behind a keyboard and an idiot screen with over a million posts, just keep on bashing. You'll be singing a different tune when its your kids lying on the ground after getting pummeled.

Re: the OP, I noticed two plays where Ty was getting ready to blast a receiver or runner and held up to avoid a penalty. He's not only fast as hell, he can stop on a dime.
