Holy shite this is freaking awful. I was convinced without watching the game that it was simply the scheme and predictability of our offense causing the OL issues (8 or 9 in box)

Look this is still on Miles, recruiting and choosing who plays.

But I've said for a while, it's not the scheme. That was flat out embarrassing.

This us also why I've said since Monday to the people who are continuously attacking Miles and going below the belt. Watch the fricking games.

This next clip is about the worst display of blocking by offensive linemen that I have ever seen.

#77 actually dives to the ground harmlessly in a turtle position, as if he is apologizing for ALMOST getting in the tackler's way...

No college team has practiced the last 9 months. NCAA has restrictions in practice time.

But I hope the oline didn't look like that during fall camo and the coaches just rolled with it.

The line needs a major shake up moving forward.

. It should have been a PI flag, the DB was all over Dupre.

They were letting them play. White git away with one as well.

I feel you. And I've had this thought as well. But a good HC would recognize that your line is playing like shite and adjust.
Get some more WRs in there to pull the DL and Linebackers apart. Allow the O Line a chance to see and zero in on their block.
Call plays that get the ball out quickly.
If you want to run the toss dive, bounce it outside of the love of God.

IF your line isn't playing well you don't run behind it or call passing plays that require "long" developments.

Great post and breakdown. I hope the LSU O line coach is showing the O line their errors. Everyone wants to point the finger at Harris and he was not great admittedly. The problem is he did not have time to pass. The D was in the backfield all the time right after the snap, even on hand-offs.

I am not a die hard Harris fan but the young man needs to have time to look at his reads and time to actually pass.

That said, for J State I think Miles should mix in some Etling to see how it goes. Perhaps Etling would be the better QB but we will never know unless Miles gives him a shot.

They were actually using our O linemen as battering rams to help with penetration and tackling.

Just my .02 from things I've read about him when he was being recruited, but Brumfield sounds like he'd be a great center. More of a tactician than a mauler. An intelligent guy who could call out the protection and blocking schemes. Seems Pocic is the same sort so I can see why he's at center, but with his length he would probably be our best option at LT.

FWIW - This is what an Aranda "Defense" is supposed to do. Have some O linemen standing around while the rest are out numbered! not only did Wisky DLs and Lbs beat ours guys with speed and technique, they out schemed/confused us too.
---—--------------------------------------------------
What if this was a once in season experience for our O-Line? Aranda's crazy scheme unleased to perfection, which had MANY MISMATCHES, and had our O-lineman standing there, with no one to block? It's possible and truly bodes well for our new D gong forward, if this is what we witnessed. Could it be thatbAranda's D is SO new and unique that WE are CLUELESS to what actually took place last Saturday. Maybe?
Let's have some faith and see what unfolds from here. Maybe it will be our opponents each week, throughout this season, that will be talking about the poor Oline play of there team, because Aranda's LSU D spanked their arse!

Holy shite. How could you have missed that? I never watch line play during the game but that was just shite.

Missed assignments are one thing.
Watching the guy you know you're supposed to block run right by you.. Or just getting pushed to the side so easily you look like a 14 year old girl.. are other things entirely.
