He is 31-33 overall* as a head coach. He will have a winning record by the end of the season by going 8-5 or better. Any worse and he's risking his career.

I'm counting both interim seasons.

If he comes through with a good season this year and the new coaches pan out, that Ole Miss record will be much less relevant. Especially if he lets his coordinators do their thing.

You just nailed it. As Al Davis said "Just win baby!"

That's why I've said O has pushed his chips to the center of the table for 2018. His OC, totally his team, his decisions. It's really a no excuses season for him. He owns it. That's not saying it isn't a brutal schedule, but he is master and commander this season.

Rabble rabble it’s impossible to win at Ole Miss even though the coaches before and after him did.

I have to admit you are right about that.

Before him was Cutcliffe who stacked the trophy case and after was Nutt whose.408 winning percentage stands tall in SEC history.

They had winning seasons and bowl games.

they have the team to do it. I agree three loses would be disappointing no matter what the schedule is. Nasty defense with talent all over the offense

You should check my post history before you assume. It’s an opinion. If I get riled up then yes I’ll call him a clown.

You can't denigrate Nutt's .408 winning record, that's top drawer isn't it?
And why did Cutcliffe get fired? I forget?

Because Ole Miss forgot they're the only SEC West team to not get to Atlanta. That was a joke that they fired him. He's a quality coach. Not great by any means, but certainly solid.

Or they're tired of every single thread devolving into a conversation on how much O sucks.

You're right. Telling people to kill themselves is definitely an acceptable reaction to this.

Not sure where this came from, but inviting them to eat a bag of dicks is also acceptable.

It’s okay to tell people to kill themselves or eat cum, but don’t you dare talk about Coach ED.
Don’t come with stats, facts or an opinion. Don’t try to discuss or debate.
Just be positive and accept it.

Might as well shut down tRant. Or at least change the name to tRainbow if we all thought the same exact thing.
That would be boring as hell.

ETA: my opinion here will bother someone, wait for it. Murica

No interim HC record? Need to include USC and 2016

Is it really necessary in every thread though?

you show Orgeron fans that record but don't tell them it's Orgeron's and they would laugh at any school that would hire that coach.

I don't believe the interim years should be reflected in a coach's overall record because the pressures of a full time head coach are much different.

An interim coach, in general, takes way more chances trying to get the job vs trying to keep the job. I think that was pretty clear to see with Orgeron the last 2 years.
