Buh buh buh his recurd is bad. Good lord. We've been hearing this same rant for 2 years. Even if he went undefeated, he'd barely crack .500 and people would still talk shite about what he did at Ole Miss. Maybe he falls on his arse, maybe he a legit season. Either way, he's got a good recruiting class to refresh the talent pool, even if its for the next guy

Overall record should have been a consideration when he was being hired. That's now water under the bridge. The record I care about is the one at LSU. 9-4 (15-6 if interim counts). Not setting the world on fire and not chopped liver. We should all want and expect the record to improve, this year.

The great thing about your statement is that I bet Coach O doesn't think his record thus far is acceptable. Fans shouldn't either. I think he can take a step forward this year. It just depends on how this offensive coaching staff comes together.

Damnit man. Calm down with this reasonable view of things. Don't you know this makes you a "non-LSU" fan to some here?

Without considering a Bowl game he will still have a losing record at the end of 2018... HOWEVER, 2019 he will pass the 50% barrier!!!

And (assuming this happens) you feel this is something to celebrate?

I don't think you get the intent of his thread.

It's simple. One camp throws out an "O is killing it in recruiting thread" and the other camp counters with the "lets look at O's record" thread.

And around and around we go.

BINGO - This was a joke because I had a great day with my grandsons watching the Stros! I even thought that I would start it and come back to see how much crap I stirred.

orgeron's record at LSU is 15-6 and 10-4 in the SEC. that's the only record that matters. admittedly that is not a great record but those that smear him due to his ole miss record are just spinning him in the worst light because they don't like him.

he will get his chance to prove he's worthy of being LSU's HC no matter what these "noise makers" say. if he does well, LSU does well. if he doesn't, we'll find someone else

you show Orgeron fans that record but don't tell them it's Orgeron's and they would laugh at any school that would hire that coach.

This is absolute fact.

Another is no school, not 1 was interested in hiring this clown. He begged Syracuse for an interview and they laughed at him.

75 percent of the game is recruiting.

Les Miles proved this for the most part. Coach O will live & die by it.

But O's not as good a recruiter as Les.

WAY too much smoke, regardless of what stuck. This is yanked, no credit for writing any of it. But you already known all this:

- In 1991 as an asst. at Miami, "a permanent injunction of protection was granted to a woman by a Dade County court against Orgeron prohibiting any act of domestic violence, after accused of repeatedly attacking her. Orgeron was ordered into a 26-week domestic violence counseling program. The injunction was eventually recinded."

- At USC, Orgeron was Recruiting Coordinator while Reggie Bush made off with that $100K.

- After Hurricane Katrina, with Tulane’s program in shambles (before they were able to share facilities with LA Tech, and thus keep playing the season), Orgeron called Greg Davis’ son/Tulane asst. and tried to begin poaching players for Ole Miss from the Tulane program. Davis turned him in. Nothing ever came of it after Orgeron pretended he didn’t know it was a violation.

- At TN, Orgeron having only been there a year, 6 “minor” NCAA violations for the Vols.

- After going back to USC, Orgeron called early recruits at TN, trying to recruit them to USC after they were already technically enrolled at TN. Had he forgotten the rules he had already learned after his own Tulane scandal? LINK

Left out the BR bar fight arrest from 1992. Those felony 2nd degree battery charges were dropped.

His ex-girlfriend getting a restraining order is not the same as being known as a woman beater. Maybe he was recruiting her and she didn't enjoy the constant attention.

Ree,

I believe in 2nd chances, and hell, 3rd and 4th and 5th and 6th chances in O's case. And you are entitled to your opinion. But you were WAY out of line with your comment above. I don't care if this is a message board for shits and giggles, abusing women is not something to joke about.

This wasn't a TRO for a he said/she said. Permanent injunctions are issued after a full trial of the merits. Do you really think that a Miami court of law would issue a permanent injunction of protection, and order Orgeron into a 6 month domestic violence counseling program, if there wasn't some type of evidence of abuse?

Yes, the injunction was eventually recinded. But doesn't change what happened before then. Maybe she forgave him. Hell, most domestic abuse never gets reported.

I sincerely hope that your off-color remarks were made without you being fully aware of all the details involved in this case.
