I woulda expected much higher than that closer around -17 seeing how the tigers normally play well in big opening games in the past.

Game isn't exactly right around the corner fellas. Im sure the line will move up a bit. My guess it'll end right around 8.5-10.5.

TCU is a better team than Va Tech. Also everyone feels all the good LSU players left for the NFL draft. TCU will be a tough team to beat in Dallas. I think they return every player on their 2 deep from Last year. TCU was not bad last year.

I guess the question is do you prefer to be a 6 point favorite over the number 15 to 17 ranked football team in America....or do you prefer to be a 22 point favorite over an unranked team?
According to 3 different early pre-season polls, TCU is ranked anywhere from number 15 to number 17.
Although Virginia Tech has historically been a top 25 team, the Hokies are not ranked in any pre-season poll.

With losing our defense & Hill on offense, what do u expect? I also would not be surprised if TCU upset the Tigers.

Its in Texas, they are the only team to play more freshman than us last year, our star RB is probably going to miss at least that game, and we lost 8 contributing defensive players.
TCU is also very well coached and a defensive team.

In the preseason poll that I saw we were #16 and TCU #18. I'm surprised it is 6.
